ITT: How to feel like you got more sleep than you actually did (srs)

So I though I'd share a little secret of mine that has been helping me feel "well" rested the past few weeks with having to get up a little bit earlier than normal.

What I do is I set my alarm 2 hours before the actual time I wake up and then as well as the actual time I need. I don't know what it is but when I wake up before I am supposed to I know I have another 2 hours to sleep in and feel awesome when I actually do have to wake up.

It's like I am tricking my body. Try it out brahs

You are probably getting less restful sleep this way. Dumb In my opinion.
You deserve what you settle for.

I do that to help me wake up easier. But it doesn't really make me feel better rested. I end up crashing after 4pm anyway lol

I haven't slept more than 2 hours a night since saturday. Stressing over exams. I'll lay down but wake up worrying that I don't know the material and need to study more. Laid down at 11:40 p.m , but just woke up at like 12:30 a.m. Got exam at 8 a.m. and was hoping to get up at 5:30 for a two hour review.

I've hijacked your thread and vented about my sleep deprivation because thread was relative to my interest.

Not a good idea. I think it will mess up with you in the long run since you are disturbing your sleep.

Your deepest sleep occurs after about 6 hours of sleeping, so a normal 8hr sleep schedule the last 2 hours are the deepest most restful times.

I know it feelsgoodman to fall back asleep but dont set your alarm your just ruining the next two hours of sleep, or so Ive heard.

it feels like i am getting more rem sleep... i was looking at charts and for a 2 hour cycle you get like 30 rem sleep and if you sleep for 6 hours you get a solid 3-4. so when you split it up im getting like 3.5-4.5 compared to like 3-4
