I am curious where the mayonnaise is good or bad. I usually buy a couple of roast beef sandwiches after my workouts but they contain mayonnaise in them.

Unless I'm ignorant, I never really understood the problem with mayonnaise itself as it's mostly comprised of healthy, natural ingredients: Soybean oil, egg whites, vinegar, water, egg yolks, salt, sugar, lemon juice, and often added "natural flavors". If you spread a little of this onto a burger or a sandwich, I don't see how it's going to kill you and destroy your diet. Like another guy above said, everything in moderation.
I personally think mayo suffers from guilt by association as it is usually eaten with unhealthyfat-drenched food like burgers, junk food, etc. Plus most unhealthy, overweight people tend to saturate their food in the stuff, which of course is going to lead to weight issues.
A good rule to keep in mind is to always go with the most natural, normal brand you can find. Because like peanut butter, anytime a company promises "fat free", "less fat", etc, they usually make up the difference in flavor loss by adding more sugar and preservatives."I Met A Wrestler!" - http://www.imetawrestler.com

The ingredients in mayo seem fine; eggs are very anabolc and soybean oil may be high in omega 6, but some specialized mayoanise brands us other oils. The major concern is the processing. Find out if the ingrediants are paturized, hydrogenized, or any other creepy processing methods.

i dont know why everyone says theres soy bean oil in mayo, definitely not in Canada every Hellman's does not use it, first ingredient on the olive oil kind is olive oil, then canola oil, even on the regular mayo its just canola oil, no trans fat, 1g of saturated.. full fat olive oil Hellman's its hands down a good source of fat and more so on 2 fronts it makes a diet easy to adhere to because people tend to be able to eat lean meat on sandwiches if they can have abit of mayo idk maybe im not up to speed as to why mayo has no soy bean oil in it anymore, but every thread i read chirped it for having it

true that brother. im just pissed kinda cause i bought olive oil mayo thinking my regular had to have soy bean oil in it which i keep hearing is bad on here, then i get home and compare macros and ingridients and there same except for olive oil listed before canola oil, so even my regular had no soy bean in it. im stoked i can use mayo even on a cut sure not much of it, but i can stack chicken breast cut up on whole grain bread and put a table spoon of mayo on er and actually enjoy the sandwich where as when it comes to chicken breast i cant eat it at all, untill now. so it works out. i count macros and make sure i never go over daily 44-50 grams of fat, and now i relise the fats are actually healthy dope
