Hello forum, I'm 13 years old almost 14 and I started lifting weights about last year and started gyming quite a while ago ... I've been training and gaining muscle but very slowly. I wanted to get "whey protein" but my parents don't approve of it because it's not for my age, and I shouldn't take supplements... Is this true? If so do you think at my age I should start taking protein shakes such as "whey protein"?

hMM. WELL IN MY OPINION WHEY PROTEIN IS ONE OF THE 'SAFEST" SUPPLEMENTS YOU CAN TAKE, ITS A CRITICAL COMPONENT OF THE HUMAN DIET. ITS NOTHING LIKE CREATINE OR PRE-FUELS. I WOULD SAY TO DO MORE RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET OR HAVE YOUR PARENTS SEARCH INTO IT. REALLY THOUGH I THINK YOU WOULD ALSO BE FINE WITH HEALTHY HIGH PROTEIN FOODS. YOU WOULDN'T WANT TO START SERIOUS BODYBUILDING UNTIL YOU'R A BIT OLDER BUDDY.
IF YOU DON'T WANT ME TO LIFT IT, THEN YOU BETTER BOLT IT TO THE GROUND!!!

Whey protein itself is safe for people of nearly all ages. I would stick to a quality undenatured whey protein without any added amino profiles just to be safe. This will give you a protein load with added antioxidant benefits. I would avoid taking too much in a day though, as you age a bit you can explore supplement stacks safely. But first and foremost, listen to the rents.
