Can anyone give me some basic science about how long after you eat are the cabs fats and protein available to your body as energy before being stored as fat?
Because most days i work out 2 hrs after i eat, but some days i wait 3-4 hrs depending on my sched.
Or is this an everybodys different thing and there is not one definite answer?

Since you're clueless, I'll be as basic and reductionist as possible:
1)Your body is constantly using up energy to fuel basically every bodily process from breathing, to blood circulation, to standing upright/sitting, to digestion, to walking, or to formal exercise (etc, etc.).
2) Energy comes from food.
3) In the period of 24 hours, your body uses up a certain amount of energy.
4)In the period of 24 hours, you eat a certain amount of food which contains usable energy for the body.
5)Your body breaks down food/stored glycogen/fat for energy throughout the day as well as is constantly storing what isn't needed immediately.
6)At the end of the day (or week or month or year), if you ate more calories from food than your body burned for energy, then that will cause an increase in your body energy stores (eg. fat) and you will gain weight. On the other hand, if you burned more calories than you ate, you will end up having to use some of your body stores for energy and will have lost weight.
I repeat again that this is a heavily reductionist version of the whole story, but it is a good place to start. Your body is repeatedly burning energy stores/ingested food and is repeatedly storing food energy throughout the day. It is the balance between overall usage of energy and overall storage of energy that determines macro outcomes.

The body has about 1 million chemical reactions. The best "rule of thumb' about whether you will put on weight is via energy input (food) & output (exercise).
SOME of it comes down to genetics. eg thrifty gene hypothesis.* ʍǝɹɔ ǝıssnɐ *

clueless is putting it mildly. i dont have the energy to tell u everything u should probably learn OP. the most important thing i took from your question is that you dont understand what happens to food after you eat it. it doesnt become fat after some magic window of time if you dont go to the gym during this time period. if this were the case, there would be no such thing as a skinny person who doesnt work out

true that, not everyone knows everything that happens with their body after eating food, im just tryin to learn the basics since i've gotten serious about nutrition/ body building for a good 9 months already. but thanks for tryin to help.
I def know some stuff about this, as I am type 1 diabetic for my whole life.
And seeing as I can check my blood sugar 24/7 (on a CGM) I can def tell when I get the most energy from food or when the best time for me is to work out.
thanks everyone!
