    Drinking "Breakfast Essentials" after lifting...

I can't afford good whey because I barely have any money outside of my university meal points, so I have been drinking this stuff after my workouts:

    http://www.walgreens.com/store/catal...sku=sku4917614

I can buy it with my meal points and it has 260 cals, 16g of protein, and lots of vitamins and stuff. It's basically fortified chocolate milk. I usually have a scoop of time-release protein and a scoop of creatine (both on sale at the grocery store) before my workouts, and a bottle of Breakfast Essentials after. I chose to go with that stuff instead of regular chocolate milk because it has reduced calories and I'm trying to lose fat while maintaining any muscle I have.

Is that ok for after lifting?

i know...but i don't have "real money"....as in not a single dollar. the time release protein and creatine at sale price used up the last $10 i had. Now I only have mealplan points, so my options are either Breakfast Essentials or just regular choc milk.

and nope. they give me the bare minimum to complete my education and i have to pay for the rest. we don't have the best relationship, and they don't support the idea of "supplements"...apparently creatine and whey are evil.

You don't need to buy whey or drink anything after your workout. Eat something

you'd be better off buying a chicken breast, scrambled eggs or something with your meal points...typically offered at universities.
