That **** hurt. I had some bloody boogers the next day. The H-stone I did for 200ft last year at nats b4 something pooped in my arm and I lost it. Thank you
Lifting
Seated log eye level supportless
55 x 20
105 x 2 x 5
145 x 2 x 5
195 x 1 lol
End
Pressing 3 out of 4 days was a bad idea and I shut it down before I did something dumb the week leading to a contest.

Meet write up
Days before
Left knee pooped and swelled up Thursday and Friday, could not walk without pain or bend it each time it pooped.
Warerload seemed to go the wrong direction. I got hope from work on friday night and was 185 jumped right into a hot bath. Ended up cutting just enough over the next 14hrs and hit the scale at 175.4 for weigh inns the next day.
Contest
After making weight it was now time to put it back on. Simple, eat and drink everything. Well, not so simple I guess. I was not holding water and was running to the bathroom and taking liquid poo's between events. Was back up to 182ish
Log
ladder rules 3 logs 200, 220, 240 (ladder rules = heaviest wins regardless or reps)
There were 4 of us, one guy just presses in contests and stops. He hit 6 with the 240. Now normally he is not scored as a competitor and I thought this contest was no different, I was wrong. The other 3 of us hit the log in warm ups at 220 (pre 20lb added) and was shaky for us.
Knowing this I walked out and hit a comfortable single and stopped as I was first and thought no one would hit 240 for more than 1, wrong again. Next comepitor hit 3 after almost not hitting it at all in warm ups. One guy missed.
Took 3rd, 2nd out of the competitors. I thought we would them be scored out of 3 instead of 4.
Axle DL medley 15.5''
400, 450, 500, 550, 600, 650
Everyone there knew I was going to win this event, I did. Got the 600, only 3 people in in the whole contest got 650.
Duck Walk 30' each way
265 down 350 back. This event is stupid. Honestly there is nothing wrong with it, I am just not a fan of duck walks. They are a great way to beat you up without doing anything to prove strength, just who is tallest. Got last @ 17 seconds, I'm shortest.
At this point we were all tied for first place. Everything had pretty much as planned.
Frame hold for time 570lbs
I did not expect my grip to fail at 20 seconds, last. I normally do just fine in grip contests but sometimes **** happens and now I know I may want to work grip a little harder.
Load to 48''
245 keg, 225 sandbag, 165 Circus DB, 205 block
Could have won this event and the contest as it came down to who won this event. I bobbled the keg and it cost me the contest. Loaded all 4 in 30 seconds. Got second in this event.
Ended the day in 3rd I guess scores went 15, 14, 13, 4. I miscalculated points when coming up with my plan for the day because of being scored out of 4 and not 3. The 240 log was the biggest weight I have ever pressed in a contest so I was happy with that. Didn't make stupid mistakes, just miscalculaded and had my grip give out for some reason.

Still a good showing man. It's hard to concentrate on anything when you've got "GI distress"
Your press is getting freaky man. 240 would crush me.Better Body Sports

Thank you.
The contest went how I thougt it would for the most part. I'm not not happy with how things went. As for the GI issue I almost **** myself pressing the log and walked straight back to the bathroom form the platform.
Apparently (according to my wife) my press was a big topic of conversation but for the opposite reason. Everyone was asking her why I don't press better because everyone knows I can. I guess it is time to live up to the expectations others have for me lol.

Sucks about the grip/keg/math fcuk ups. As you said lesson learned, move forward.
I think the big take away from this is no massive errors. That was a big concern for you coming from nationals, so small victory but one all the sameThe dumber people think you are, the more surprised they're going to be when you kill them. - William Clayton

I am most happy about not doing stupid ****. If you ever get to load kegs there is a huge difference in the way an aluminum keg feels vs. plastic. I would much rather learn about a possible grip issue now and not in a big contest.
I am doing a record breaker contest that will qualify me for nationals in 3 weeks and should give me 2 national strongman records if everything goes according to plan. 270 axle cnp and 800+ 18'' DL

I agree with the others. With the numbers you hit in training, a 240 log shouldn't be an issue. Perhaps it is a stature thing, but I would think you would be within 10-15 lbs of your axle. If it is a stature thing, nothing you can do except get freaky strong and hope for axle events.

I think its an upper back thing. Any log over 250 and I get folded over trying to hold it in a rack position. I had about a triple with that log in me but I would have **** on the platform. Also if you watch the press, I drive so hard I lose all base and if I do not catch it just right it's all over. I'm going to spend the next few weeks hitting heavyish axle to get ready for the record breaker then pound the ever living **** out of log.
Thanks, will be nice to see my name on that list.

It was not a great time. You looked physically in hell the whole trip.
Lack of practice cleaning heavy. I only had to clean 220 for nats and have not tried to clean a heavy axle in 2+ months. The way I do 220 and 255 are different bc I cannot DOH 255.
It was a good time. It is also a good feeling when you walk into any contest and the word Deadlift means first for you. We all got together pre contest and bull****ed and everyone wrote that off as me winning.
Yesterdays lifting

Dude, that 785 looked like nothing.
Can you take a look at my DL in my log? It's with reverse bands, but still a heavier lockout than anything I've done off the floor ever.Eternal Gym Rat, Student Physical Therapist. None of my post content should be taken as medical advice. Ask your doctor/PT.

So I am letting my knee heal up. Actually felt good today so I may train tomorrow. One thing I do not think I have talked about in here is my constant obsession for anything car related. I got a new project truck today so I am pretty excited. I will try and get some pictures up soon. Also got a wood burning stove for my shop.

Went out mad at myself for sucking at life. . . .
Not as mad now.
Knee was starting to hurt again so I went in and started icing it right away.
If you guys want to see another even more awesome 175er check this out. Paul did this to piss me off.
He is a buddy of mine that trains at jakked gym. A few years ago we had a talk about him being in the 175's when he was about 202. His response was "**** that" well one injury later and my nightmare came true. Funny thing is, he's the pressing specialist with a 320 axle @ 200 before he shrunk.

Must say, I'd be hesitant to lift with glasses if I was as prone to dropping things on my face/passing out during lifts as you are ha.The dumber people think you are, the more surprised they're going to be when you kill them. - William Clayton

So for an 18 inch DL, do you treat it like a weight hoist? You know what I mean, when you just slide your legs under it and then lock your hips out?
