My back is ****ing sore from the training and the car ride home, o'well. I see stone pr's in the future.

Yep. Paul was going to come and compete with me but his work got in the way. Will be an interesting contest http://www.nastrongman.com/pdf/2014/...0Challenge.pdf I have already been told I am not allowed to drink at the free beer tent this time
On a side note: With competing so much this year it has forced me to stay on top of my training all year. I feel so much better now then a year ago thinking about nations in Oct. I'm bigger, stronger, and feel I have a ton of experience this year.
I am mad though that my powerlifting performance did not qualify me for RUM. The totals posted in March and I need 1510 @ 181. I chose my lifts to hit 1475 and not a lb more. Now I am looking at a pl meet 6 weeks after nations in November if I fail to qualify for the Arnold again. We shale see.

Power corps at Jakked strongman contest
Weighted in @ 192 fully dressed with shoes for the under 200
Event 1 Viking press
To sum this event up in one word, Heavy. I won with three reps which was three more then I was able to press in warmups. Everyone from under 200 and up did the same weight.
Max Keg load
This is a staple of Jakked contests so I can hit a real pr in contests. Last year I lost a contest due to this event missing a 330 keg. This year I loaded 310, 330, and 350 for a 40lb contest pr and 20lb all time pr. Tied for 1st
Descending Dl 5 bars
The heights where (I think) 18, 15, 12, 9, 7 and the weight was 515lbs. They miss loaded the first guy and they ended up letting him go again after all the LW had gone. I did not know this so I walked through the event with 26.?? . The misloaded contestant knowing this powered through the event his second time with a time of 22.?? so I took second.
Farmers 60' up hill
255 a hand in 10:01 for the win and locked up the contest with that.
Giant chain drag 60'
I picked and started dragging hard. Toward the end of the drag spotters tried verbally redirecting me from stepping in a crevasse, when I looked back I fell. I did the 60 with the fall in 12 and took 2nd by .4th of a second
Overall I took first and had a good time. There are a few vids which I will get up shortly.

Still alive.
So, HI! Since that last contest I competed in MN strongest man (6-28)on 12hrs notice and took 5th. I re-injured (5-25?) my back pulling 455 x 13 at that contest, went to two chiro's the week after, pulled 605 on July 4th, ****ed it up worse, and spent the whole month of July resting and lightly training.
Sunday,
worked up to 545 conventional sutied dl
Today
Squats
135 x 5
225 x 2
315 x 1
405 x 1
455 x 1 pr
wraps
495 x 1
Sumo
3 x 5 @ 315
Had no idea what I was going to train today. Had a **** day at work and said **** it, "I'm Squatting". I am planning on doing a meet Oct 11th to get the Rum qualification since they raised the bar and I no longer qualify. I was having walkout issues so 495 was as high as I was willing to go alone.
