LOL, I could care less about your negs to be perfectly honest.
The reason I stated what I did is because people IGNORANTLY assume that pros get to where they are because they eat clean and eat six meals per day. Of course their diet and getting enough calories is the most important part, but you can't even begin to claim that eating 6 meals per day plays a larger role than steroids do.
Having said all of this, I know/have talked to several people that use/have used steroids and have NOTHING against them. I don't lose any respect for them because it's THEIR CHOICE. I actually argue with my dad quite often about steroid use in general and whether or not it is okay. Guess what side I'm on?
I would say I am far from ignorant. My Workout Log (NEW): http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=136142601

lol this
Pretty simple, if they didn't need to do something, they wouldn't. They don't become pros by not knowing what they're doing. They do what's best for them. Not what's "ok" or "average", but what's "best" for their goal. Just like the old expression "those on top of the mountain didn't fall there".

I totally agree they are different and was agreeing that most people doing "IF" actually just eat like a normal person.
Most people get busy and might not get to eat a meal until 12pm (i.e. work meetings etc) and then eat regularly for the rest of the day and then sleep after dinner, thus having an "8 hour eating window"
I wasn't disagreeing!Yes... I've started a log - http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=159357321

The "maybe it works for you" crap is so ****ing old now.We are talking about features of the HUMAN RACE.The HUMAN RACE has the ability to eat/utilize MUCH LARGER AMOUNTS OF FOOD THAN EXPECTED.
So no,there's no such thing as "maybe it works for you" .If you are a normal human being YOU CAN EAT UNTIL YOU PASS OUT AND STILL GROW MUSCLE AS A 6-10 MEALS EATER.
If one meal works for us 1000 people,it means it works for everybody as does 6 meals."Maybe it works for you" is the easiest way to exit a conversation when you are a dumb ****.
Negating this ability is like saying you can breathe under water. We all have the same abilities, the circumstances under which they are triggered are different.
inb4 there is a small percent of people with tiny guts and or have a disease that impairs nutrient absorption.

From a muscle-building/fat loss standpoint and in terms of meal frequency, there's no reason for me to disagree with you. That is, there's no scientific data to refute the 6 meals per day is superior to IF'ing or vice versa. But in other aspects of nutrition, I hope you don't maintain this same point of view.
Some people are insulin resistant, for example, and won't respond well to carbs. Whereas myself, and millions others, who are insulin sensitive can go on a diet with 250 carbs per day and still lose 2-3 pounds per week very easily.

So you apply your case to the physiology of everyone's body? Because there aren't differences in body types? Are you going to tell me everyone's body is the same in how they work?
How come some people gain quickly, while others do not. Why are there some people considered "hard gainers" such as my friend who can eat 3,500 calories per day at 6'2" and 160 pounds and sees nothing on the scale, but me at 6'0" 190 lbs. explodes at the same caloric intake?
Sorry, but the human body is far more complex than you make it sound, and there exists many differences from person to person.

I was refering to the MAJOR differences that people come up with.Meal digestion is a primal characteristic of the human race and you can't just say "my body cannot digest large meals"
Ofc there are smaller differences that makes us individs, but like having two eyes, one brain,we also have the ability to digest and utilize large amounts of food. You can't just not have this ability (unless, like i said, a very rare disease that impairs nutrient absorption, but that shouldnt be taken into account.)

Same, even a bite of cake or something and I can feel the sugar load/crash. Or if I were to drink just 1 12 oz soda I'll feel the sugar/crash pretty hard. My mom is diabetic and on a timed insulin shot she wears around her waist, so I am sure I am genetically susceptible as well. She isn't fat or out of shape either, she's 6 ft tall and slender. She started getting blackouts/diabetic issues when she was in her 40s.
My gf is in a similar scenario, she had her gallbladder removed, subsequently put on like 40 pounds and now her digestion is much different and had to switch up her diet to lose the weight back.Last edited by grapemaster; 12-10-2010 at 10:04 AM.
