You have to eat 6 meals a day and not eat carbs after 6 pm or your body will become catabolic and you will eat away your muscle. Oh and bodybuilders dont drink dairy, so no more milk when you are on a cut. And you have to water deplete for 3 days prior to a show, etc etc I could go on and on about all the crappy advice I have been given over the years. Worst thing is in the beginning I followed this advice like it was gospel, such a lemming I was lol!

In case you can't read you simply stated, "Tell that moron it's 40 grams of protein a meal...not a day..." Why do you eat 7 meals a day if you don't believe this btw because you could just eat 3 solid meals and be fine to get to 1 gram per pound of body wt... Just another example of broscience at its finest...

OP, most trainers know jack all. Which pains me to say because i'm in the industry myself. The bad trainers out there outnumber the ones with common sense.
The only, and i mean only, thing he could've been implying is that salads have minimal calories on their own, and to either lose weight or gain weight, you still need to eat a good deal of calories each and every day regardless. That's giving him the benefit of the doubt...
There's a lot of clients/members we train that are under the impression that in order to lose weight, you have to eat minimal calories. Many of them eat a few hundred calories a day and that's literally it. So perhaps this "trainer" was helping this guy to eat more calories in general. In which case, it's true, a salad isn't gonna be the first choice for a meal, however excluding salads as a part of a meal in it's own right is straight up retardation.advertising/self-promotion not permitted
