    Thumbs up Con-Crete MASS!!!

    Sup Family.
    OK, so I know I'm like way late on getting this up and running, but like they say better late than never. I should be expecting my shippment of Con-Crete any day now, and I gotta tell you I am like a kid waiting for Christmas to arrive. Cant wait to get started on it. I've been through a few different varieties of creatine, and while non have overly impressed me I'm looking forward to seeing what Proforma has cooked up. Here's what I'm looking to get from this supplement:

    Strength = Muscle Density
    I'm not one who believes in order for someone to gain muscle mass, they need to eat 3 & 4 big macs a day, simply to add calories. Yes the more calories you intake the bigger you can become, but at what cost to your waistline? Nah. . . I believe that if you want to gain solid lean mass, you need to do the following;

    #1 - You need to be lifting some heavy F'n weight
    #2 - You need to take in high amounts of quality protein
    #3 - You need to be down with some good supplementation

    I believe in mixing in old with the new. When its time to put on some mass, to me, that means putting away the string tanks, and throwing on the ripped T-Shirt or sweat shirt, because its time for Deadlifts, Squats, and Bench Presses (I prefer DB for inclines). The oldies but goodies if you will. So during this trial I will be looking to improve my Squat, Deadlift, and Bench.

    Main Goals:
    My main goal for 2011 is to add thickness and quality to my legs (Quads, Hams, and calves) I'm going for overall balance, but need to first get them growing again. My knees are a bit shot so I've been hesitant to really do much with them, but that ends December 31st 2010.

    I want to add more width and thickness to my back, so thats where the deadlifts come into play, along with barbell rows, and pull-ups. I've been told I have a pretty good back as it is, however I believe i've yet to scratch the surface of where it can really be. One of the achievments I can brag about for this year is that in January i could barely do 6 Pull ups. And when i say barely I mean by 4 i was kicking my legs, huffing and puffing trying to raise my chinny chin chin above the bar. It was comical for sure, but I was determined. Today I do 3 sets of 12. (Applaud me!)

    Lastly I want to continue improving my chest. I've made great improvements this year, but through those improvements its led me to see just how far I can go. Noticing the vasularity in the upper region of the chest for the first time was inspiring and just makes me want to continue.

    I'll be documenting my every move while on Con-Crete. From the pre-load stage talking on taste and if it mixes easily, all the way down to strength gains from week to week, exercise to exercise, rep to rep. So follow me, and enjoy!

    My Mass Building Plan

    I've been fortunate to have had only one injury while training. (Thank you Lord) With this kind of track record I believe its mainly due to my form. They're not kidding when they say strict form is vital. Not only to helping get the most from the exercise, but to aid in injury prevention. But this isn't a How To blog. As I said in my introduction, I'll be using the basics dueing this trial, in hopes of packing on the most muscle in that time. By basics I mean, Deadlifts, Squats, Barbell Rows, Dumbbell Presses, Shoulder Presses, Barbell Curls, etc. Free weights will be the movement of chouce at least 80 % of the time.

    I recently just started doing deadlifts after a long layoff, and I'd forgotten how much i liked doing them. Something about being able to lift hundreds of pounds off the floor. It commands respect, because its the one true test of strength. You either get it up, or you dont. PERIOD! I'll be using the movement for two reasons; 1) Because its a serious mass building movement, and 2) I believe it will help get my legs to where I want them. My body is strong in many areas, however my legs need to look the part as well as be the part.

    While there is still a lot going on in life right now, I believe that its not that convoluded that I can't focus on these details and more.

    Squats is my next ass kicker of choice. I am not one of those people who bull**** about liking to do legs. I do them because its a necessity, like breathing. However I love legs, like I love Cardio. And those that know me also know that I cannot STAND cardio. Dont get me wrong, I like how my legs look afterwards, and I marvel at how they feel after a heavy set of presses or Squats. Its during the exercise that kills me. Its a pain that you simply cannot describe. It makes you want to call your momma. But if you wanna win, if you want to be on top, and achieve your goals dreams and aspirations, then this is the sacrifice that needs to be done. You cant lose a contest for having arms that are too big, but you sure as hell can lose if your legs fall short of the mark.

    As for a plan of action. I really go off of feel. I always get all body parts within 5 days, however I've learned that for me, it works better when i allow my body to decide what will be worked that day. Worse thing in the world is to be in a gym and not doing what you want to do. Schedules can become so monotanous that it can take you right out of your workout. Bu that just me.

    Let me tell you something bro. I'm tired of the cold. My wife and I are seriously thinking about making a move to Atlanta or NC. Yeah it still gets cold down there but it doesn't last nearly as long as it does here in NJ.

    I was going to say Lex29.

    I remember seeing alot of pics of him....maybe in Arnold's book.

    I sure remember the first of the Strongman comps....all bodybuilders competing at the time.

    Bodybuilding back in the day was (to me) more of an art. Guys weren't completely consumed with the idea of simply being HUGE. It was also about symetry, asthetics, etc. Yeah they wanted to be big, but they wanted to look good as well. Thats my goal. To be as symetrical as my body can get while still maintaining good size. (Oh and conditioning...cant forget about the conditioning...damn cardio!)

    Post ProMera CON-CRETE Day 1

    Took first dose of Con-Crete this afternoon. Its a non workout day so just getting the system used to it. Started with the powder. Was pleasantly surprised. Went down pretty easily. No grit. Very little after taste. Thats always a plus. Anything that doesn't go down easily is only harder to take the next time, and every other time afterwards.

    Tomorrow is Chest day, and after being away from the gym for a few days, I'm seriously looking forward to it . I use a good mix of volume and weight so its not your standard lift heavy rest long type of thing. Looking forward to getting it going tomorrow.

    P.S. I'll see if someone cant take a pick of me in my Girdle (aka T-Shirt)....lol
