    Strict Military Press - form check, cheating?

    Any advice on my MP form would be much appreciated

    two things I noticed when watching myself:

    - I bend my knees slightly before pressing, though not as much as a push-press.
    - I lift my heels off the floor and go on my tippy toes to complete the press

    Would this be considered cheating?

    I also noticed the going on my tippy toes put me off balance during my last rep.


    Also, i've noticed that my left arm tends to tire out before my right arm.

    I think a little bend in the knees is fine. But i wouldn't come up on your tip toes.

    you'll press more and be more stable if you keep your feet shoulder width apart, also tense your glutes and abs to give yourself a more stable base to push off of

    bend in knees = push press =/= strict military press
