Deads training from today, bodyweight is down to 239:
havent been doing much for squats and bench. just been going light but high reps. going high reps is like a new territory for me but im liking it so far. gotta build a stronger base. wrote myself a 10-week cycle which will allow me to maintain my strength. im still looking to squat 500 and pull 600 in June. dont really care about benching lol. dont underestimate my newb gains!!

Today was heavy bench day. Worked up to 325x1 to chest then 335x1 to a 2-board. then 225x14 for a backdown set. nothing was too hard but its still pretty pathetic. but im sure when im fresh i can take 335 to chest for a single. so i still havent lost too much strength on the bench yet. bodyweight is down to 236. so i got around 10-12 more pounds to lose. losing 19lbs in 4 weeks aint too shabby either. and its actually been really easy diet-wise. i'd say the hardest part of losing weight is the first couple of days of dieting. for me going from eating as much crap as possible every day to almost no carbs every day was REALLY REALLY tough. but after the first week i got used to it. and losing strength does suck a lot but when i look in the mirror i see progress every day and that feels awesome.
im also saving a ton of money too. i was eating out for every meal but now i spend less than $90 per week on food. once i hit around 225lbs i'll start eating carbs post-workout. i think i'll still go zero carbs on non training days though.
for squat training i'll keep on adding 10lbs per week to my work sets and keep doing high reps. for bench i'll do heavy singles and heavy board work every other week. on light days i'll go high rep light weight. deadlift training will be similar to bench. heavy every other week and speed pulls with bands every other week.
i'll probably post up some naked pics of my glorious body in a few weeks so for all my brothers out there, save your jizz and hngggg. its gon get yucky

500 to 540, something of a big jump? Always had lockout issues or just this training cycle?
my goal of the day was to work up to 540 for a single so 500 was my last warmup..
i used to be slow as fuuck off the floor and now im strong off the floor and has to grind through my lockout. those shorts didnt help either. if i stop being such a lazy ass and set up properly and get tight before i pull i'll probably has a stronger lockout.

Towards the end of my workout, an asian guy walked in and he was wearing gloves. at first i thought he was just cold but then i realized they were actually workout gloves. THERES A FUUCKING GUY LIFTING WITH GLOVES AT TRUE NORTH BARBELL. and he's fuucking asian too making me look bad. might have to find a new gym.
either way a pretty good day. destroyed my upper back and lower back. i felt more explosive with my new stance and my squat strength will be back in no time if my hip gets healthy.

335x1 not gonna lie..this was ugly as fuuck. extremely brutal lockout. but i was very very happy with this because i've lost 24lbs and im only 10lbs off my gym PR. i think i fell out of groove though because i blasted up 315 so 335 shouldve been easier. however i did smoke 335 for 4 paused singles when i was fatter. 420x0 very close. just couldnt lock out the last inch.

then did tri's, shoulders and bi's.
obviously a great day for me. next week is volume stuff on regular bench and floor presses. and if i feel good i might go for 345 the following week.
