    body fat percentage to see abs?

    I have been bulking for about almost a month now, and i am going to continue bulking for another month or 2, and then i am going to start cutting. As you can see in my picture i am not really fat, but i don't have abs either, i mean i have a little extra fat, but not a huge amount. I was just wondering what percentage body fat is where abs normally begin to show, i think im around 15-16 right now. I was just wondering because to me it seems like if i got to around 12% my abs would start showing, but i've also heard it can be lower or higher than this.

    Depends on how much muscle you have, some people can see em at fat percentages as low as 15% if they have enough muscle. Most people start seeing them once you get below the teens and usually people say 10%.

    thanks for the answer, i guess i should also start training my abs harder so they get bigger, which would probably make them show up faster when i start cutting.

    It's mainly a function of body fat, now how "big" they are. Regardless, you should do abs at least once a week to preserve the muscle while cutting (along with working every other part of your body once a week). Good luck.

    It varies a lot person to person. I'm at 15-16% right now and see the top two, but before I bulked I was at 12% and could JUST see the outline of the bottom two.
