I started my weight loss journey about a year ago. At my heaviest I was about 6 ft 215 lbs. With improper diet and overtraining and right now I weigh about 165 lbs. There were days when I knew I wasn't eating enough and still continued to work out and not think about being hungry. I'm a pretty active person and just started crossfit about two months ago. Since then I've been eating more but still under maintenance to lose that last bit of fat. As of today I've decided to scratch everything and go on a clean bulk like recommended by the experts in this forum.
So was wondering what my daily calories should be since my metabolism is probably damaged. Also what the recommended carb/protein/fat ratio should be.
Also I have considered quitting cross fit if it will be counter productive to my bulk diet. I believe I am around 15 percent body fat with very little muscle.
Thank you guys for your help.

I usually stick to 40/40/20 Carb/Protein/Fat when maintaining or bulking. Everyone is different though, so play around with different measurements and see what works for you. I try to eat 20 Calories/lb of body weight on work days and 15x on off days. I lost over 35 pounds this summer cutting, so I am about to start bulking for the Winter.
About all the info I can give you personally. Best of luck with bulking. Keep it clean!Last edited by JarodLee; 09-15-2012 at 07:21 PM. Reason: Mis-typed some numbers.

Read that, eat at a 10-20% calorie surplus while hitting your macro and micro nutrient needs. Ignore arbitrary macro splits (40/40/20), hit your protein and fat requirements then fill in the rest of your calories with carbs/protein/fat as you choose.Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.
