I never wore one of these. But, am thinking of using one and just wear it through out the day to increase vertical and core strength. Has anyone done this and how where you gains from using one?

Maybe Im wrong but I dont see how that will improve your core strength at all, indeed it sounds a little dangerous to use it the whole day, you're gonna get back spasms or something, but again I've never heared about it, so Im maybe wrong.
What Im sure about is that it wont have a positive impact on your vertical, if you work out with a weighed vest or something extra you wont jump at max power at all, and that's what you have to do when you're working out to improve vertical: jump as high as you can whatever exercise you're doing, whether it's depth jumps, rim jumps, tuck jumps, etc...
I say dont do it... Stick with strength training, plyos, and a good abs and lower back routine

there was a study done with elite athletes that showed them getting around 3 inches out of wearing a weighted vest during every waking hour for around two weeks. However the improvements went away almost as soon as they stopped wearing the vest and their gains stopped after around two weeks of adapting to the extra weight. Considering the stress on your body and the hassle of wearing a vest for 14 hours every day it would not be worth it all, especially for someone who can still make solid gains from conventional training.
