    Can't digest whey protein...

Okay, I cannot seem to digest whey protein, even isolate. So everyone keeps saying it's because I'm lactose intolerant. BUT if I was lactose intolerant then I wouldn't be able to drink milk, cream, or eat cheese right? But I do! So what is it about the protein powders that I can't deal with? Just curious. Thanks for the info .

It doesn't necessarily mean you are lactose intolerant, but it's a quick & easy answer many people will give you.

In my own experience, certain brands just don't agree with my stomach. It can be something as simple as what they sweeten it with, to the fat content, or even the source of protein. You could try a soy-based protein but a lot of people are soy intolerant. I absolutely love Syntha-6, but I bloat like hell from it. I stubbornly stuck with it for about a year though because I loved the taste so much. I finally got sick of the gastro problems and switched to Dymatize Elite XT, and I'm happy with it.

If your stomach is that sensitive that even whey causes problems, maybe try Isopure protein? I haven't tried it but people with delicate stomachs rave over how easy it is to digest.

Thanks Roidmonster55! Great answer! Maybe I'll give Isopure a shot and see how it goes. Otherwise I'm fine with egg protein, but it's just the taste that is pretty unfavorable.
