    Help an idiot calculate this...

    When I started jan 1st I weighed 218, bf% 27... Now I weight 202 and bf % is 18.

    How much fat did I probably lose and lean mass gain?

    I'm an idiot with trying to figure this stuff out. Ask me how to sell something and I'll give you advice. (Insurance company owner, aka insurance agent)
    Starting Weight 255lbs. 2/1/2011

    Well if your BF % estimates are correct all that you need to do is multiple it by the weight you have at that %.

    So when you were 218 with 27% bf -> 218 * 0.27 = 58.86 lb fat on your body. 202 with 18% Bf --> 202* 0.18 = 36.36 lb of fat on your body.

    If you have been lifting weights and eating enough protein you should have retained almost all your lean body mass. Therefore you lost roughly 22lb of pure fat.

    Hope that helped you understand this.
    Strive to be the better self that one could possibly be.
