Fear is for the winter
Halp with my sorry RB unit (BIG REPS for thoughtful input as usual)
The culprits:
Felix Jones - Disappointment and now struggling to fight off his usual injury status. not high on him.
Keiland Williams - has become the last man standing in DC and performing admirably IMO. yahoo has him one its top projected RBs this week despite the match-up (not that that means a whole lot.
LeGarrette Blount - interesting match-up against the 'not as they once were' Ravens. Has been a primary RB for me since grabbing him from FA (which tells you how bad I've been struggling at RB). Neither I nor Blount are afraid of the Ravens lol
Brandon Jacobs - now the starter (at least in title) in a good match-up. has come through for me on more than one occasion.
Shonn Greene - Fairly high draft pick for me...dammit. not even considering until he gets his **** together. disagree?
starting 2 non-PPR

I would go Jacobs and Blount.
Jacobs is starting, will get goal line looks, and the Giants should be up a lot and running the ball. Bradshaw is in the doghouse with the fumbles and Coughlin is a real hard ass when it comes to fumbles.
Blount is the main man in TB and the Ravens only scare people with what they've done in their past. I'm not high on their run D in this one.
Felix is a crapshoot with the injury, I don't like Keiland's matchup against the Vikings I think they play well this week with Childress out and it's gonna light a fire under their asses. I'm a Jets fan and Shonn Greene is such a disappointment this season, and his fumble last week nearly cost the Jets the win so I think we see now that he can't be relied on in big time situations, which means more LT time.

Start blount and who's williams playing? Jacobs will still lose a ton of carries to bradshaw.

i'd go blount and williams. they're both the starters on their respective teams with less chance of losing yards/TDs to time share. blount for the reasons listed above, and i would go with williams because he's really the only thing that washington has going for them on offense. vikings D has shown signs of weakness against the run (BJGE week 8)

You have to start blount. Jones sucks even when hes not injured. Did nothing on the lions terrible run d last week. So thats out. Greene has fumbling issues and is a #2 anyway.
Go with blount and either williams or jacobs. Williams has a tough matchup. So maybe go jacobs n hope he gets a td. Jacksvilles d sucks.

Basketball reasons.
LeGarrette Blount - Start, BAL defense isn't as good as everyone thinks they are. They are good because of their offense. Defense is aging. Goodson and Hillis have ran for big numbers against this def already.
Keiland Williams - Start, he has shown he can handle big number of carries and be productive. Good hands and blocking so he'll be playing on 3rd down situations (even with Torain back healthy)
Felix Jones - Hurt, do not start, possibly won't even play this week
Brandon Jacobs - Sit, temporary promotion. Bradshaw will still be getting his carries.
Shonn Greene - Sit for this week, but keep him. He'll pass LT soon
Lakers - Still Purp and Yellow

Blount & Williams
Blount has been getting the majority of the carries for TB, as well as the goal line carries. He has been the most consistent for sure out of the other possibilities you have.
Like one of these guys said, Williams is about the only good thing going for the Skins right now. I know its non PPR, but the guy can still also get a good chunk of yards on check downs and whatnot. Also, MIN D hasnt played as well on the road.
Is it a keeper league? If not, possibly look for Maurice Morris on the WW. With Kevin Smith on IR, and Jahvid Best deteriorating, he should start getting the bulk of the carries. Hes also playing NE this week, who's defense is suspect on any given week.

thanks guys. definitely looks like Blount is a concensus pick so far for one of the slots which is cool because I was gonna roll with him.
seems to be a decision between Keiland and Brandon.

It's like you said a toss up between williams and jacobs. While jacobs gets the starting job and is primarily a goal line RB means he will get some touchdowns(usually).
williams is facing the viking which allows a usual of 99 rushing yards per game this season. With williams being the starter and his backup is also a nobody I expect williams to play the whole game and take advantage of it. Last week he had just about ten points but the week before against philly he had 2 touchdowns and got all the carries after torain went down.
now that being said jacobs is a good back but once he doesn't get a good series of downs bradshaw will most likely come in and take over so you have to take that into consideration.
Last time jacobs scored was in week 7 against dallas. playing jacthis week.
I begin tomorrow. Eighteen weeks in this dark hole. 126 days of pain. 3024 hours of hunger and desire. I'm already counting the minutes, the seconds When it's over, I'll step into the light. I will shine...
Until then, you'll live in the shadow, in the darkness, in a place few will ever see... Where ugliness becomes beautiful.

gotta go with blount and williams.
Jacobs' promotion is mainly a way to punish/motivate Bradshaw. In the NFL saying someone is now the starter really doesn't mean a whole lot in terms of carries; they will just play most/all of the first drive. I think Bradshaw will still get some heavy work, probably the majority. Jacobs could have a decent amount of goal line touches but he will really be all or nothing. I see this either not changing the work split or going back to their old style of running where Jacobs was the workhorse and did the heavy lifting while Bradshaw came in as the change of pace and broke off huge runs and vultured TDs. Especially with the Giants WRs being a mess as well as the O Line, the Jags defense will probably stack the box to stop the run.
Blount and Williams are basically the sole backs on their teams and Williams has been doing pretty well considering how awful his team currently is. Gotta start the consistent backs (unless you are feeling like taking a gamble).
EDIT: Tom Coughlin was quoted as saying they are looking to get Danny Ware some significant work. That makes it 3 backs splitting carries for the Giants; great for the team, bad for fantasy/

Despite matchups I'd go Williams and Blount based soley on the amount of touches both are sure to see.

Onward And Upward
I agree with Williams/Blount. I think the Jacobs promotion will be the starter "in name" but not necessarily get any more carries. Think they're trying to help motivate Bradshaw to get over his fumbilitis before the playoffs
