Hello ladies!
I just started my 1800 calorie diet two weeks ago today, and I've already lost about
2 lbs (from 130 to 128). However, I am always looking for some tasty but low-calorie foods/meals.
I, like most humans, enjoy my ice cream. With my favorite Cookies and Cream Ice Cream, I would sometimes have 2 cups, which would exceed 700 calories! And it isn't the easiest thing in the world to enjoy a 1/2 cup of ice cream.
So I decided to do some research on low-calorie ice cream, and came upon Arctic Zero, which is only 136 calories per PINT! They use their patented Whey Protein Concentrate, which severely cuts down on the calories.
The problem is, though, that it is so expensive that you would likely feel guilty about eating more, and eat less, and less frequently, as a result. I think it's about $4 per pint at Whole Foods.
Has anyone out there tried this ice cream? I've read some reviews that seem positive overall, but those could always be paid freelance writers. Thanks in advance!

Some of the flavors are disgusting! Chocolate mint and cookies n cream are OK. I put WF maple syrup on them to make the taste better...probably not a sign of satisfaction lol
But also, very expensive. Sometimes I get it on sale 2 for $4. I say it's a good way to satisfy your ice cream cravings on a regular basis but I'd say if it's an occasional treat or craving, go for the good stuff!

omg, i used to LOVE only 8 (back when i was less rigid abt and obsessed w/ nutritional density. sigh). the place near me did it differently than other places i've been to. normal places have a few flavors at a time and it's just like regular frozen yogurt. but this place had just chocolate and vanilla frozen yogurt, which would be the base, and then syrup type things they'd do this mixing thing w/ on the bottom, and then fill the rest w/ chocolate or vanilla. lol, that sounds confusing. pt is, they had 61 flavors everyday! my faves were coffee and blueberry cheesecake.
there are lots of similar things - wow cow, carbolite, tastidelite, etc
as for arctic zero, i'd still go for mock protein ice cream or working the real stuff into your macro's.

this past summer i ate it almost every day for a while, lol. once or twice i got carried away and ordered 3 and acted like they werent all for me, got them to go, then got in the car and ate all three, lol. got a bit of a belly ache afterward lol, but it was so worth it, i love that stuff. sometimes theyd put too much syrup in and it'd taste a little odd, but i love the cheesecake flavor.
