I have witnessed numerous pot smokers turn towards heavier narcotics. Also, many have turned towards a life of crime. Based on your experiences, is Marijuana a gateway drug that leads to a degenerate life?

No. Many drug addicts BEGIN by smoking and the type of person who does smoke is the type of person more likely to use other drugs, but smoking itself does not lead to other drugs.

also my brother died from overdosing on that drug.He was invited by the "cool kids" to hang out at some kids house whose liberal parents had left for the weekend.
My brother, always a moral and thoughtful individual, wanted to attend because it was one of those massive house parties that he'd never been to.
Well, as was later recalled by some of his friends at the party, he was pressured into smoking marijuana. He ended up smoking the entire pack of marijuana cigarettes.
Not long after he went into convulsions and started foaming at the mouth. The people at the party held back calling 9/11 for almost 10 minutes.
When the paramedics finally arrived they could do nothing to save him.
The autopsy revealed he had 3 times the lethal dosage of THC in his blood.
But I'm sure everyone here will deny my story and the fact that my brother died after smoking that illegal narcotic.

I think it can be depending on who you are
but marijuana has had the opposite effect on me, and has actually made me a better person through reverse reverse psychology.
sadly i do think it should be illegal despite all of its benefits because so many people wont be responsible with it.Misc Biochem brah

I think if someone has the desire/enjoys feelin fcked up, they will get there eventually. Plenty of people use, but not everyone is in to hard drugs.

it IS a gateway drug in the sense that you're not going to do heroin before you've ever smoked weed. it is NOT a gateway drug in the sense that if you smoke weed you're going to end up doing heroin.

seems like an obvious scapegoat to anyone whose actually smoked the stuff; if you really let it slow you down to that extent you probably weren't that worthy to begin with.
