    i was just wondering roughly how long everyone bulks for on an average

    Matters on OP, I'd slow you should bulk for around 6 months until you think you've reached a spot in which you have gained enough muscle and are ok with losing some to lower your BF again

    bulk till your as big as you want to be, or a little bigger ideally, then cut as you will lose fat but also usually a bit of muscle when you cut, depending on how much calorie def you use and also how cut you wanna be. im usually happy around 10% but if you want to go lower, its gonna mean a longer cutting period.

    If you are just trying to look good, It's up to you. But the longer the bulk, the more efficient your mass gain will be.

    If you are trying to compete, i'd say bulk until about five months out and start cutting. You want a lot of time to cut for your first competition. I'm on a permanent bulk until I find the my competition to prepare for.
