    First Bodybuilding Injury..

So while working shoulders last thursday (november 11); I started getting a sharp stinging pain in my armpit area whenever I'd do a rep. I warmed up with some brief stretches and light weights. But after reading thru the shoulder articles here I realize my stretching isn't quite adequate enough.

It's not a lingering, constant pain; just when the muscles in the area get contracted the pain will strike me.

After some research, I think it's either my Subscap or my Teres Minor: http://0.tqn.com/d/p/440/e/f/19622.jpg

I haven't worked any upper body since then. Probably wont for the rest of the week. It's gotten to the point where I can only feel pain if I flex my entire upper body really really hard (which is an improvement on 3,4 days ago).

So how can I get back to 100%. I don't think it's a tear (seeing as it's not a constant i-want-to-die pain); is it just a matter of rest, ice and better stretching?
How long should I wait untill working out again?
Will there be any residual pain/danger in future workouts?

I'd wait a few weeks, see how you feel... if things don't get better go see a doctor

So it's been a week since I developed pain.

No pain at all; no matter how hard I try (flexing upper body; streching etc).

I was at the gym last night doing abs/cardio. I decided to bang out a few dozen reps on the bench; empty bar, no weight. Felt great.

today is legs day, so that'll give my upper body another rest day, then back to chest on saturday!

    Hoping I don't develop any more discomforts/pains
