Assuming you're talking about HIV? Well, its blood. Obviously there'd be a higher chance IF she was carrying the virus. I say higher, but still not a HUGE chance, since HIV is a difficult virus to catch (as viruses go). Chances are she wasnt infected anyway. Why not just ask her to get tested?

If he's worried I think it'd be an idea to ask her her status. He'd have to wait 3 months to get tested conclusively. There's no reason for her to "flip out" over it. But you're right, its difficult to spread heterosexually (particularly female to male). Highly unlikely she had it in the first place anyway. OP more than likely has nothing to worry about, but Im guessing no amount of words would help him with his fears. Which is why I suggested finding out her status.
