Red face Diet stalled, help if you have time please!

    Sup guys,

When should you add cardio or decrease calories? I have been on the same body weight for 5 days now, should I wait another two days and see?? I have not yet started cardio though I walk to the gym and back everyday (ten minutes walking there and ten minutes walking back) though I hardly consider this cardio.

And if I decrease calories, should I decrease 50 calories? I want my dieting to be as slow as possible. I am eating around 2600ish calories a day at the moment and weigh 178ish

Last time I competed was around October 2009 and since then I have been pretty sedentary except for going to the gym so I am sure my metabolism has slowed down hard.

    Here is my macros.

262.90 PROTEIN (including incomplete proteins like from brown rice etc)
    243.45 CHO
    63.70 FAT
    CALORIES: 2598.7

What should I decrease first? Should I start cardio instead? Or should I Just be patient and give myself another couple of days?

Sorry for the same old question that I'm sure you guys always get to read......

give yourself another 2 days..that would make it a full week...if nothing changes..then add in some LISS twice a week for 20 mins...or a session of HIIT if you want...that should get things rolling some more
    I rep back 1k+

Vision is purpose, and when your purpose is clear so are your life choices. Vision creates faith and faith creates willpower. With faith there is no anxiety, no doubt - just absolute confidence.

There are two undeniable truths in life: failure and success. Unfortunately, everyone experiences failures before achieving any amount of success. Life is ultimately a giant trial and error test-you never really get what you want without putting up with the things that you dont

It depends if you're doing a show and how far out you are. If you have no contest or a deadline, keep going. If you do, give it a few more days. If after a few more days nothing happens, decrease your carbs by 25-50 grams for a 2-3 days. Then bump them back up. Go for a 30-minute walk each day too.

Like UCF said id throw in a 1-2 days LISS just for 15-20min. I prefer to stay away from HIIT as much as possible to save all intensity for the weights. Not sure of your current stats but some people think occasional refeeds are also beneficial for increasing metabolism/fat loss

    Thumbs up

Thanks for the replies my brothers. From what the calipers say I am around 15% so I'm not sure if I should do refeeds just yet. I will follow UCF's advice. Thanks for contributing everyone. Reps when I can!
