Question Regarding Fatigue/over training/lack of recovery?

I was just wondering if light weight resistance/body weight training can replace cardio on days when im not weight lifting?

Say i work out on an ON/Off basis

    Mon - ON
    tues - off
    wed - ON
    thurs - off
    etc.

If i were to set up a small circuit of exercises at my house on off days, could that substitute cardio? or would it get in the way of recovery?

im talking simple stuff like resistance exercises on my bowflex, or push ups, sits ups, basicaly light weight high reps to get some extra calories burning.

    thanks for the input guys!

hard to say. if it was very light, it might not matter. possibly could even help recovery. i wouldn't though.

why are you wanting to burn calories (looking at you stats)?
