A 15 year old on my football team benched 295 last year. The average was like 225.
My goal is to get as big as possible while weighing under 200lbs.

I bet the average is around 135, maybe less considering that not many people workout. I bench 200, most kids in my grade that workout max around 140-145, but then again my friend is 15 and reps 250 for 8.
Current/By July(Beginning of summer) - Bench to chest, squat parallel, deadlift no belt or straps.

    Bench: 215/250

    Squat: ???/315

    Deadlift: 390/450

But that's the football team lol. Average 15 year old who doesn't work out wouldn't be able to do even a plate in at least 80% of cases.

Op said average bench press for 15 year old. Not for 15 year bodybuilders. So in that case I'd say prolly around 135-145 lbs.

Depends on strength, not age. If it was the other way around your grandpa would be at PL meets.

Because age doesn't play a huge role in strength, right?

You can't tell me you haven't come across people who are younger and stronger than you? I mean, you are exceptionally strong for your age judging by your lifts, but I'm sure you've seen someone on Youtube or similar beating your lifts.

Everyone's genetics, eating habits, and work ethic are different. I know a 17 year old who is 6" 220. Of course he is stronger than me. There is no direct correlation between age and strength... to a certain extent.

Everyone's genetics, eating habits, and work ethic are different. I know a 17 year old who is 6" 220. Of course he is stronger than me. There is no direct correlation between age and strength.
Next time you run into a 10 year old who trains religiously and a 25 year old who doesn't train who are the same size, you let me know who's stronger, alright? No one said there was a direct correlation, but age plays a huge role in strength.

Lets not get ridiculous with the ages here, you know what I'm trying to express. I know lots of teenagers who can outlift most adults.

Yeah. But to say age doesn't play a huge role is ridiculous. If you made this thread asking "what's the average bench press for 25 year olds" the answers would be VASTLY different.

and then compared 25 year olds to 40 year olds...

In *GENERAL*, if you are only dealing with average people, age does play a part, but I'm just stating not everyone is created equal.

i bench 135 at 14 years and most people in my gym class are 15 and like 2 other 14 year olds they all bench about 80-90 with some 200 pounders that bench 100 so idk.
on the freshman football team everyone is benching from 100 to 250 lbs but the ones who lift in the upper hundreds are like 200lbs+ and the kid that benches 250 probably weighs 250 lol...

I just started going serious a few weeks ago, and im at 150 bench for my one rep. Most kids 15 at my school are skinny skateboarder type people, likely cant bench past 100
