A little bit about myself for the unaware :
I'm 38, mother to 2 boys (6 and 10), and I am an IT project manager, meaning I sit on my arse all day. I realized I left out gender. Obviously (at least I hope it's obvious), I am female.
I was an athlete when I was younger. I played volleyball, basketball and did field events in HS. In college, I did intramural basketball.
I started training almost 3 years ago because I had gotten fat. I weighed just under 180 at 5'7". My husband has worked out at least 3 days per week every week for the 6 years I have known him, and he got me started. Hated it for a while, but stuck with it because I was seeing results. At some point, it became a passion.
In October of last year, I did my first figure comp. Didn't come in as lean as I wanted, but I did get down to 140 pounds. I wanted more mass, so I spent the last year trying to put some on. Put on some fat at the same time, so I am currently trying to lean back down.
I'm currently doing CKD and taking in about 1650 calories.
Training right now is a bit sporadic as I recently returned to the gym after 6 weeks off due to a back injury. So, between trying to get back into the routine, juggling my kids' schedules for this year, work, and dealing with lingering back issues, it's been tough to get back on track.
Starting next week I will be doing a hybrid bodybuilding/functional strength training routine so that I can strengthen my weak spots and kiss these back issues goodbye. What that routine will be, I don't know. I've pulled the information and will be putting together the program over the weekend.Last edited by erinlee01; 11-11-2010 at 07:25 AM.

I say we start it all out with a t-shirt pic from each of us. I will take mine tonight if I have time.
Erin are you just going to copy and paste from your normal log? Also is there a format for how to review this or are we just giving our thoughts on it as we go>The Beast Journey to Elite

Many of my cardio workouts will include Eva (my 2 year old daughter) She's my cardio trainer.
I am looking to get shredded for this OBF contest
-as a side bet to this contest I have a bet with another competitor that which ever one of us does worse has to post an avi for a week of us wearing a dress.
So I am highly motivated! The Beast Journey to Elite

I probably won't have time tonight, but I can take one this weekend. I'll be at Chuck E Cheese celebrating a 6th birthday. Don't hate.
I'm going to copy and paste from my log. And there is a format - it was included in the log agreement paperwork. You give dosage, your workout, then rate from 1 - 10:
Strength
Endurance
Recovery
Overall Performance (total above and divide by 3)https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794

What would this log be without the "daily motivation". There are lots of boring logs out there in the forums for anyone to follow who has any problems lol
Who else do we need? I think between the two of you this is going to be a killer log!UnCut ~ My Pre-workout of choice!!

I officially warned everyone about the Beast in another log. With a woman to play along with, he'll be 100 times worse/better.
Oh yeah, welcome in you two.
Edit...And Shelia and I are already doing the old married couple thing here....except that I have my own log seperate.

A step backwards is better than a setback.
If this (insert whatever trivial thing that is upsetting me) is the worst thing to happen today, I'm going to have a great day.
