At the ripe ol Age of 30, and now having money, Im finally taking care of things Ive always wanted to address, like my hair, and next on the list is getting a nosejob. At times I feel that Im being vain, but I realize you only live once, what are you going to do with $$ when your dead and gone, especially with no kids?
The hair transplant was performed a month ago by a reputable doctor. The cost was upwards of 9k, which Im paying on with 0% interest over a year. I had 2150 graphs (4200 hairs) transplanted in the frontal 3rd of my head, and along the hairline, since I had lots of recession and the "horseshoe effect" was quite evident. I had the strip procedure done, where a strip of donor hair was removed from the back of my noggin, leaving me with a scar. The scar, in one month is still fairly red, but is rapidly becoming very thin. My hair is currently 3/4" in length, and it nicely covers the scar to where its hardly evident.
Im also taking Rogaine foam and 1.25 mill's of Finasteride to keep the crown nice and thick. The worst part of the procedure is the 2 weeks from being out of work and waiting to have the damn staples removed. Trying to sleep was an absolute bi*&^ as well as trying to make up excuses what happened to your head. Ive just told people I had swelling in my brain and had to have the sweilling reduced, hah, and it worked!
Anyway, if anyone has any questions, or feel your self confidence fading because of balding, I say go for a transplant! Its a permanent solution to hairloss! Just do your research and make sure you stabilize your hairloss in advance.
Also, despite what people tell you without knowledge on this forum, no it doesnt look like doll hair or pubes. Its transplanted hair from the back of your head, so with a skilled surgeon, the results look completely natural.
My next and last surgery is a Nose Job come Febuary. Then Im done, hopefully for good.
EDIT:
Sure thing. Im only a month post surgery, so I cant give you final results. Usually things start happening around month 3 -4 (although not near the final result). Final result (density and thickness) are usually seen at 12 months - 16 months after the procedure.
Month later (you can see how its going to frame my face):

That's cool man. Im balding but afraid of transplants. Not only expensive. But it leave permanet scarring. So you have to and must go through with it and continue no matter. IF you ever want to go bald, you will have nasty scars that show.

so you paid 9k for surgery, paying $40+ a month for rogaine and fin, and taking a drug which is known to have a high incidence rate of permanent, irreversible impotence + everything that goes with it (erectile dysfunction, low sperm count, watery sperm, hypogonadism) + possible personality and mental changes (its essentially chemical castration by reducing levels of the most potent androgen in your body)
when you couldve just shaved your head?
interesting

i'd take a serious read through all the peer-reviewed studies done on finasteride before you continue taking it..

There is a chance of sides with any meds.
Ive been on Finasteride for a good long while, the only side Ive known is keeping my hair and completely stop my balding in its tracks. My brother has been on Fin for over 10 years and he's pushing 40, and still popping out kids.
People will always bring up sides, but those who see results vs those who have sides are far and few between.*Future Millionaire crew*

The scar was from a small strip of skin they remove from the back of your head. Its basically a strip of skin that has hair that is genetically saved from balding (this stripped is removed from your balding zone). I hope Im making sence.
Guys, I had insecurities about my recession. The crown Ive saved with Rogain and Fin, so I really wanted to have the recession addressed. Only one person knows I had it done, and she says it makes me look 10 years younger already. That was encouraging*Future Millionaire crew*
