is becoming a physical therapist worth it

is it worth all the work to get to it? meaning, is the reward in the end worth all the work you have to do to get there..?

I have a friend who has her PhD in physical therapy. She's 29 and makes $100,000+ a year.

In PT school right now. From everyone I've talked to, it is worth it.

Starting pay in my area is about 55k/yr, at 40 hrs a week. Most PTs either work more than that with their primary clinic, or pick up a part-time gig for extra money. Not hard to break 70k your first year. If you do traveling PT, you're looking at about 100k.

And if you open up your own clinic, it can be a ****load.

PT always ranks at or near the top of best low-stress/high-paying jobs. I think its worth it

Not in grad school yet, I'm at a school that has pre- and post-professional though... as long as I have a 3.3 in the prereq classes, I'm automatically in the post-professional program
