    Do you sweat a ton while lifting?

    I went to the gym yesterday with a friend. We did legs (squats, hacks, leg press, ham curls, calves). Halfway thru I was drenched in sweat. He was wearing two shirts and at the end of the workout hadn't sweat a drop.

    He says 'I don't sweat' - I personally know that is BS and that everyone sweats...I think he just doesn't know how to push himself.

    I just want to get an idea...does everyone else sweat like a beast at the gym while lifting?

    i honestly don't sweat that much. i don't really understand how you can work up a sweat doing sets of 7-10 reps, which i'm guessing most miscers do. i can see how doing sets of 15 with little to no rest you'll be sweating, but just doing 7-10 reps, resting, 7-10 reps, resting, etc. i would think you would completely tire your muscles out way before you can get a sweat going.

    I remember when i was dirty bulking i got pretty sweaty. Now i'm cutting i'm still lifting pretty much with the same routine but i've noticed i sweat a lot less. I never sweat heavily unless i'm doing a lot of cardio. Doing deadlifts or powercleans i'll get a few trickles of sweat as well but yeh iono. Some people just sweat more than others i guess.

    but some people just don't sweat much, doesn't nececarilly mean anything.

    When I'm doing legs I sweat medium

    When I'm doing cardio I sweat A LOT

    I sweat but only on days where I do a high amount of reps with little rest.

    Other times I still sweat but it stops/dries up before I start my next set.

    I'm more of a runner than a lifter... I start to sweat a lot after I run about 2 miles. Until then, I'm dry as a bone. However, when I'm working hard at work (in IT running around fixing ****) I can easily start sweating. strange ****.

    I sweat a hell of a lot during lifting and cardio. I guess its coz ive always been fat. Attempting to lose fat and lift more now, not an easy thing on top of a demanding uni course.

    During summer I sweat like mad everytime I go to the gym.
    The rest of the time I only really sweat while doing compounds like deadlifts and squats.

    I sweat a bit too much I think. It's had a lot to do with genetics I think. I was thinking the more fit I was and conditioned the better my body could take it and maybe sweat less.
    It's been over two years now and no change from what I can see. Just yesterday I was on my second exercise for doing back and I was sweat'n like mofo so bad it was dripping off my face during sets.

    I don't run much and I really think if I did very much running for distance I'd F'n dehydrate without constantly stopping for water breaks.

    My body is ****ing weird...I rarely sweat while lifting weights but I'm drenched while doing normal things. I can only wear dark shirts at the moment, it pisses me off. Actually, I have an appointment with the dermatologist in an hour to fix this problem.
