Best screwless way to attach planks of wood at 90 degree angles?

I want to build a sort of shelf to store different types of papers. As I said before I run a printing service and have many different types of paper (20 lbs, 24 lbs, 28 lbs, 32 lbs, 67 lbs). I want to build a sort of rack with adjustable height shelves so I can separate each type of paper easily.

I'd rather build it without screws for a nicer finish. Do you think just using a 90 degree clamp and wood adhesive like "no more nails" would do or should I use dowels?

Are there any other screwless ways to attach wood planks at 90 degrees?

    Thanks

    Hide the screws?

what sort of material are you using?
Its it going to be painted?

As you suggested Liquid nails could work but depends on what you are glueing it to?

I'm using a pine edge-glued panel. I just want to join them at 90 degrees to make a box with the front and top open (a 4 sided box).

What would be the best way to join them? This will also hold several tens of pounds of paper (the shelves will be held by shelf supports held into holes drilled into both side panels, but if ever I pick up the shelf all the weight will be transfered to the joints).

Re- reading it sounds heavy as fuk cuzzz

just counter sink the screws and then get plugs of wood to glue into the hole, sand back to even it up and blend in.

why not just drill out a counter-sink, cover screws with putty & paint or varnish for a nice finish?

make a little gig or something out of a old bit of timber. drill holes then use the edges to line up where you want the dowels.

Yea I have a countersink drill bit, I want to leave the wood a natural finish, probably just a clear varnish over it. What would best hide the countersuck screws if I want to keep the natural wood color?

lol will you honestly see that **** when it's loaded with reams of paper? OP, you really like to hyperfocus on things yea? slap on some wood putty then a light varnish. you won't be able to see them unless you try to pick out flaws.

as I said before wood plugs, go to local hardware store and they will show you what you need, Its a little drill bit that cuts out a plug of wood.
you then glue that bit into the counter sunk bit and sand it back.

If you use the same timber ( a cut off piece) and if you want to be really picky you can match the grain of the timber as well. comes up really well and the holes will be almost invisible.

The screws are all going to be on the outside surfaces so the paper won't be covering any screws at all.

If you use the same color plugs as the wood they aren't that noticable aslong as you sand them down evenly. If you're making the shelves yourself (cutting the wood to size) you can buy a special plug making drill bit and actually use the same wood (a scrap peice) to make the plugs.

Edit: ^^^^ beat me to it Eclipsett. You take wood shop in high school brah?

lol yea I thought I was rereading the same post actually I didn't understand why it said it was a new post at first.

I will be cutting the wood myself. The wood is just 11/16" thick, is that enough space to get the screws in with enough left for a plug? or is there even just wood colored paste or something I could put over the screws? I don't care about making them invisible, but would at least want a wood colored filler.
