HERE WE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its about that time again. More pics. More videos. More freakiness. You havent seen insanity yet....you havent seen hell yet....now you will.
CURRENTLY: 203.6lbs and 8.5%BF.
GOAL by May 01, 2011: 212-215lbs and 8.0%BF
TIME TO BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!!!!!!! !!!!
Let's recap:
If you followed my previous journal you'll know what Im all about. You'll know what BTK is all about.
Im natty, I work hard, and Im out for blood. Im never satisfied. Im not into E-STATS or putting crap up on the net. I back up my training and what i say. My physique proves it. My discipline proves it. My work ethic proves it. The physique matches the training.
As the training get more intense (which it will), my physique will show it. If your training does not translate into your physique then youre simply just not doing things right. Period.
We're changing things up for this new training journal.
Im going to be following Intermittent Fasting (IF - leansgains) for the next 6 months. Ive always trained fasted but will now for the first time follow a structured protocol.
Have a new diet. My training will be brought up to yet another level as well.
Gym time is now 3:15am - 5 days a week. Wake up time is 2:40am - 5 days a week. I decided at a very young age that I'll sleep more when I die. I'll stick to that.
Four days a week I will be eating approx 3800cals in a 7 hour feeding window (11:00am - 6:00pm):
11:00am - Meal #1 - 1 Whole Wheat Bagel, 4 Whole Eggs, 1 slice of cheddar cheese, 1 banana, 8oz of pineapple, 20oz of chocolate milk - (80gP/180gCHO/25g F)
1:00pm - Meal #2 - 1 scoop of Myofusion, 1 tbsp of PB, 1/2 cup of steel cut oats, 1 banana - (40gP/80g CHO/15g F)
3:00pm - Meal #3 - 10oz of turkey, 1 cup of brown rice, 1 tbsp of olive oil, 1 cup of spinach, 1 cup of mushrooms - (70gP, 60g CHO, 20g F)
4:30pm - Meal #4 - 1 scoop of Myofusion, 1 tbsp of PB, 1/2 cup of steel cut oats, 1 banana - (40gP/80g CHO/15g F)
6:00pm - Meal #5 - 10oz of chicken, 1 cup of brown rice, 1 tbsp of olive oil, 1 cup of spinach, 1 cup of bell peppers, 1 cup of mushrooms - (70g P, 60g CHO, 20g F)
Total: ~3800cals: 300g Protein, 440g CHO, 100g F; NOTE: These are rough estimates. I do not really count calories anymore. I just make sure to hit my targeted protein and fat intake on a daily basis.
Two days of the week: I will eat the above minus Meal #4
One day of the week: I will eat Meals #1 - #4 with the final meal being a cheat meal. My cheat meal is usually 30-35 pieces of sushi and a piece of cheesecake.
BTW - I LOVE chocolate milk..and chocolate milk loves me...cant you tell? lol
Training split:
Mon- off
Tues - Triceps/Hammies/abs/cardio - LISS (30min)
Wed - Chest/calves
Thurs - Back
Fri - Shoulders/Traps/Rear Delts/Abs
Sat - Quads/calves followed usually by 2+ hours of football
Sun - Biceps/abs/calves/cardio - LISS (30min)
This is garbage to me.......its crappy...its laughable......
Dont worry.
Im gonna fix this.
Bustin ass. Every. Single. Day.
First training post coming shortly
POST_EDIT: Dont let the tats and physique fool you. I do this for a hobby and just love to train. I dont have a degree in any nutritional field and Im not a personal trainer. I do think I have a vast knowledge of nutrition and training. This is mainly through self-education and my continued reading. I am here to help and make those that follow the journal the best they can be.
I do have a PhD in Molecular Biology and Oncology is really my true passion! Any questions on the future of Oncology research and where it is headed, Id be happy to answer as well

Damn 3800cals in 7 hrs!! I think my body would hate me after that last meal...I also noticed you're working calves 3x a week, is there any reason for this I thought you only worked them once per week in your other training journal and of course: sub'd

I read on your other journal that you decided to bite the bullet and do your first show? Are you competing this year too?

Well arms = 20 inches. Calves = 17 inches.
No good Need to bring them up as much as possible.
Thanks for subbing!
Well its IF time! Ive never followed a structured protocol in terms of diet and am curious to see the results.
Will increasing my fasting window by 4 hours help with energy, lifts, BF%, and overall well being?
Only been two days but Im diggin it.
Timetable for competing uncertain at this point. Plan on competing next year. Dont know when.
My first show will be a natty competition (drug tested). Just for fun, I wanna compete in an NPC comp (not drug tested) and see where I stand. Wanna see how bad Im gonna get crushed
Have lots of work to do!

Big arms = Squats, Deadlifts, and Rows. Patience and consistency goes without saying. A little isolation work here and there. Most do not understand this but thats the key.
I recently started increasing my sets for arms but they were well over 19 inches when I started that. Previously, I would never do more than 10 sets for arms.
Tricep workout will be posted later today so you can see the routine.
I dont take supplements except a multi-vit, fish oil, and protein powder. Why I started my first journal. Needed to prove a point.
We'll continue that trend here
As you follow the journal, you will see how your mind is actually the #1 supplement in the world. Have to be driven from within. Whether you tap into that and use it to your advantage is up to you!
Keep training hard.BRAINS & GAINS

I relate everything to the weight room floor because it works. I gnaw at the edges, and I get work done. No matter how hard it gets, no matter how much weight's in my way, I keep on going. And everyday, every rep, I'm better than the last. This success and this mental toughness carries over to every aspect of life.... Anyone who says it doesn't, just doesn't get it. --Spags

Nice bump to 3800 cals.... your body is gonna love you from here in..... watch the intensity go up a notch... if thats humanly possible.
"I just want to look like you"....
No you don't.. Will you wipe the stinging sweat from your eyes and lean over to avoid passing out before starting it up again...Will you stagger out of the gym with a smile on your face knowing tomorrow you get to do it all again... Will you roll out of bed when the worlds asleep on legs that can barely support you and know its time to push your limits..Will you refuse to quit?
Words are weak, actions are strong, success is forever.

Sub'd, of course. I'm really curious to see if the IF protocol works for you. Thats A LOT of food in such a small eating window. I know you've been tossing around the idea of using BCAA's for a while, but do you think you'll eventually try it? Even if it is just a trial run?

Good question!
Actually the food is pretty easy to take down. Body is like a furnace right now
I dont think I will be taking BCAAs pre-workout but may experiment PWO - I wait about 5 hours from completing my training (6:000am) to having Meal #1 (11:00am). So Im thinking of having some BCAAs around 8:30am to kind of hold me at bay. Still deciding.BRAINS & GAINS

Sub'd for awesomeness. Can't wait to see how you go on the extra cals. It will be interesting to see if your bodyfat levels rise much with the extra cals or if you can still stay super lean like you are now.
