How long is too long (training time)

I go to the gym with 2 buddies 5 days a week (mon-friday). we usually stay close to 2hours each day but i've been told this is a bad idea / can strip muscle instead of gain it as im training for too long?

Anyway if someone could explain to me the cons of working out for so long that would be great.

Time in the gym doesn't matter as much as what you are doing in the gym. 2 hours could be perfect or it could be not even close to enough if you are playing nut grab with your buddies in between every set.

    .
u'll never strip muscle unless u are undernourished. the question is whether u can be more efficient with ur time, especially if u have a busy lifestyle aside from training & dont always get perfect rest

LOL. When I read this I thought of scenes from Eastbound and Down, then imagined seeing that in a gym.
