What are the most graphically intensive PC games currently available?
From what I've read seems like Crysis to some extent is still the benchmark until Crysis 2 comes out with games like Left4Dead 2 up there as well, but if you were looking to stress test a new PC what games would you run on it?
I know "graphically intensive" is a very subjective term depending on a wide variety of factors, but let's just talk in general assuming we're trying to run the games on maximum settings

Id prob just go with crysis.. Theres not many that are as intensive as crysis.. I have a pc that was built with TOP OF THE LINE parts a few months after crysis's release and it cant even run it fully maxed out with full frames..
That right there tells me holy ****balls..is this reallife
I think pc part manufacturers and game designers should have some kinda agreement where the best parts out should play any game maxed with no problems..

I dunno man, new graphic cards come out like 2 times a year lol.. Consoles come out every what like 5+ years? And they use outdated hardware.. I think the pc gaming industry makes just as much money considering people are constantly upgrading parts which cost way more than a 60$ game.
I want a console but at the same time im addicted to buyin new pc parts lol.. Plus once in a blue moon a pc only game comes out and blows everyone away with the graphics

There hasn't been to many exclusive graphically intensive pc games lately because consoles are holding them back. The developers would rather go multi-platform than make a pc exclusive game
I'd say crysis still wins in this department
others are:
Battlefield Bad Company 2
Arma 2
Just Cause 2
Dirt 2
that's about it.

metro's graphics are better than crysis but it still runs better
crysis is a massive resource hog

Metro looks good, but not even close to crysis. When you are rendering 300 times the environment as metro, you have to hog some resources. That being said, Crysis was not even close to being optimized.

You dont have dx11 card bro, your ultra=/max settings. With Dx11 enabled its easily the most gfx intensive game.

nah. run on it on settings that best fit your comp nad stop bitching. and if someone has too much money and has 4 ati watercooled cards, intel quad also watercooled, then they can run it higher.

So you disagree with me.. Your saying that if a game comes out that it is physically impossible to max out you wont care? You obviously do not care about games and shouldnt even be in this thread then. Like ive said before, Im running what WAS top of the line everything when crysis came out and i cant max it out 100% on 1920x1080
