Alright guys, first I just want to say thank you to Metroba and LG Sciences for giving me this opportunity. I wasn't picked in the initial thread but Metroba hooked me up with it anyways. I'll be updating with either videos or just regular posts. I'll include my workout for that day in text, and then generally go over what I felt in the video if I feel it needs extra time and I don't feel like typing it all out.
First official post will be later tonight, with a video. We were asked to update the log 4 times a week, so I'll obviously doing that, maybe 5 times like I did on my last log. Thanks to everyone who subscribes and anyone else that stops by. I appreciate it.

Arms
*NOTE*
Today was high volume day, not a lot of weight used, but wanted to get a good pump. Didn't rest anymore than around 30 seconds between sets, still had tons of energy after leaving the gym, but took the muscles to failure. Don't be alarmed by my tricep routine, I just use a lot of different exercises to hit the tris from every conceivable angle during my workouts.
THE WORKOUT:
Triceps
Close Grip Bench - (Warm Ups 135x20, 185x15), 225x2x8 (Didn't touch chest or lockout), 255x8, 225x12, 135x21 (Real easy)
Superset the following 2 exercises:
J Presses - 110x3x12
One Arm Overhead DB Extensions - 30x3x8
Superset the following 2 exercises:
Rope Pressdowns - 2x8,8 (8 Spreading the rope, 8 straight arm)
V-Bar Pressdowns - 2x10
Superset the following 2 exercises:
Overhead Rope Extensions: 2x12
Overhead V-Bar Extensions 1x15
Reverse Grip EZ Bar Pressdowns - 2x12
EZ Bar Pressdowns - 1x20
D-handle single arm burnouts - 1xAMAP
Biceps
Alternating Dumbbell Curls - 45x4x8 On last set start drop set to 35x8, 25x10
Incline Dumbbell Curls - 40x3x8
Dumbbell Preacher Curls - 40x3x10
EZ-Bar Handoff Curls - 80x8x10 (4 sets narrow grip, 4 sets wide grip)
Reverse Grip EZ-Bar Curls - 80x2x10
Reverse Grip Dumbbell Concentration Curls - 30x3x10

I may take a serving of the BC+EAA today even though I'm not working out, i'll try to find the sweet spot for taste/mixability. I'll post up the ratio later on, no video today. Thanks for checking this one out guys, hopefully I won't disappoint.--My Training Log

Quick update. took a few servings of the BC+EAA today. It seems that the taste is a little better and mixes just as well with about 8-9 oz. of water instead of the 12 oz. suggested in the directions. So if you like a stronger taste, I recommend that. May end up picking some of this stuff up after this log, only $15.95 for a tub online.

Chest/Abs
THE WORKOUT:
Chest
Incline Bench – (Warm Ups) 135x8, 185x8, 215x6, 235x4, 215x8,8,10, (Drop Set 185x12, 135x20)
Flat Bench – 255x6, 275x2, 315x1, 335x1, 275x6, 245x8,8, 225x17

Incline DB Flyes – 45x3x10
Incline Bench (Bar To Chin) – 115x3x15
Cable Flyes – 5x15
NOTE- Today was high volume, don’t mind the high reps because most of the weight wasn’t all that heavy, just working on really filling up the muscles with blood.
Abs
Hanging Knee Ups – 3x15
End of Bench Crunches – 3x15
Reverse Crunches – 3x15
Rope Crunches – 3x15
NOTE- Light abs today as I was still slightly sore from last week’s ab routine.

How did I miss this?! Great log thus far bro. The videos are a great touch. I love the commitment! That's a nice shirt you got there.
A few things:
- The grit at the end of AP happens. That is the problems with alot of pre workouts. Swish the cup around or shake when you are at your last few sips and it won't be a problem.
- The dosage requirements of AP can be dependent on weight and tolerance. I'm a lighter guy than guy but I can tell you 3-4 scoops is spectacular! Yes, I am a rep and have more at my disposal but just saying, if you feel up for it, try a bigger dose. The pumps and focus is intense! It sounds like 2.5 was a good spot for you so maybe not.
- You mentioned an elevation in heart rate. There is geranium in Anadraulic Pump. If I remember correctly, approximately 19mg per 2 scoops.
I'm psyched about your log. It shows a lot of promise. Give it hell bro!
Edit: REPS ON RECHARGE

Yeah that's my bad, just checked the label again, you are right. Geranium Oil Extract is in it, which could account for the increased heart rate. The grit is just because, like I said, I hardly had any water in it. No big deal, and yes, it is a very nice comfy shirt haha. New video tomorrow evening sometime, it's back day.
Yeah man, it felt good. Last week 185 on incline felt like a million pounds, and 225 on flat the same way. A week of lighter work obviously does the body good sometimes. The pump on the incline bench to your chin was insane, especially following the incline db work, i only rested 20-30 seconds between sets. checking your log here in a sec bro...--My Training Log

Like Rob said, AP is very dose dependent and it takes a few workouts to find your sweet spot. When I take it on its own, OG version, I would take 4-5 scoops for great energy/focus/PUMPS; with AS-GT all I need is 3 scoops or I am bouncing off the wall. That said, if I am working out in the AM I could take 4 AP with AS-GT since I am not as concerned with getting sleep.

so far so good with it. very enjoyable
thanks man, i appreciate it. judging by your avi, you're a beastly-like creature. I see you're with the NSCA, I was debating on going with them or NASM, any thoughts? I train people already, but to get a job at a decent fitness center I have to have that piece of paper that says I tested well.

If you're just looking to personal train, certifications are usually just a hoop you have to jump through and the CPT tests are cake for people with gym experience. Not a lot of places are interested in a particular cert from a particular oragnization. I do Strength & Conditioning, and a CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist) are only offered through the NSCA and "used to" require a BS in Kinesiology or Biology just to qualify to take it, but I think they've changed it to a BS in general to be able to take the CSCS now.
"some" places will pay according to your certification, but not all. I've been at places where my CSCS was worth more per hour then the next guy who was just a CPT and I've been at places where my CSCS wasn't worth more then the guy who took a weekend seminar and bought a Crossfit Cert, so I'd just examine whether the facility you're at just wants any old cert or if certifications hold different degrees of value.
I'm obviously bias toward the NSCA, but that's also my genre of training. Universities lean toward NSCA because the NSCA is also a research organization that publish peer reviewed studies relative to all things exercise phyis, biomech and sports performance. There's a lot of academia mumbo jumbo associated with the NSCA that you may not care for if all you want is something to satisfy your gym's management.CERTIFIED STRENGTH & CONDITIONING SPECIALIST, NSCA-CSCS

Superset the following two exercises:
Cable Rope Pressdowns: 3x15
Cable EZ Bar Pressdowns: 2x15
Calves:
Seated Calf Raises: 150x50, 200x40, 250x25, 300x20, (Drop Set Starts Here 330x20, 300x20, 250x20, 200x20)
Leg Press Calf Raises: 805x2x15, 625x2x18, 445x2x20, (Drop Set Starts Here 445x35, 355x35, 265x50)
Tibia Dorsi Flexion Raises on Leg Press: 355x3x15
NOTES ON WORKOUT:
Felt sort of tired, probably from yesterday’s brutal chest routine. Still went decently heavy and had great contractions with the muscles. Could have gone heavier, but may have lost some of the mind to muscle connection since it was a slightly off day. As you can see I did my heavy working sets first, and then taper down to a more high volume squeezing routine at the end. Seems to be working.

Sorry for the MuscleMeds skullcap, I forgot I was wearing it while shooting the video. Maybe LG Sciences could send me one to put in place of that one *cough cough*
