*"Soon you'll be ashes, or bones. A mere name at most - and even that is just a sound, an echo. The things we want in life are empty, stale, and trivial. So treat human beings as they deserve, be tolerant with others and strict with yourself. Remember, nothing belongs to you but your flesh and blood - and nothing else is under your control" - Marcus Aurelius

depends how good you are. more opportunies and possibilities to advance. i worked as a nurse for my last summer job (thanks to my dad) and i couldn't see myself doing a job like that. not really making any important decisions.. just doing what you're told to do. not for me :/

Male nurse here. I just started working and will be making around 60k. Your salary can also depend on the shift you work. Night shift = more money. For my hospital its $40 an hour for the night shift and that's for a new nurse. I work 36 hours a week. My finance friends work 60+ hours a week.... Yes you'll be making bank IF you get a nice finance job BUT you'll also be working long hours. I could be making 100k if I worked 72 hours a week. I like my job... there are some nasty stuff I do.
Go for what you like doing. Both fields can get you $$$.

My sister is a R.T (respatory) her shifts are 12 hrs so she gets o.t everytime great pay she used to be a bank manager and what she made workin 5 x a week a month she can make the same workin 2 x a week. She works usually 5-6 days a week it's a solid career and proberly safer choice then finance since it's almost certain you make 30+ hr

I'm just being a hater, that's all. Depends on the person. I can't imagine loving nursing, but I suppose some people do. But the nature of the OP's question, between 2 totally different paths, leads me to believe he's not doing it because he "wants to." Which will result in an epic fail, because eventually he will realize all jobs, from nurses to doctors to buisness ownership, pays just sh*tty enough to make one unhappy but dependent on sticking around. The only consolation is picking something you enjoy.

dude if you're focused on only asking questions like this, you're not going to be making much irrespective of what field you go into.
to make serious bank you have to be amongst the best individuals in your field, and you dont get there by pondering stupid **** like 'which degree will net me more initial income the easiest'
