    Are pre-workout supplements needed?

I ran out of my ammino energy from ON, im wondering is it crucial that i have a pre-workout supplement?..
My next choice might be the muscle tech Nitro-Tech NOP-47 pre-workout.
anybody have any suggestions for a good cheap pre-workout suplement, with no creatine, maybe protien and definate energy?..
    thanks in advance

They aren't needed but i personally think they are very helpfull. White flood is the best price per serving pre workout out there and it has no creatine. (I think the price on bb.com is $40 for the 100 serving tub)

pre-workouts aren't going to make you stronger. I have a cup of coffee and a banana, now that's the cheapest pre per serving.

It really depends if they are needed or not. For me, when I can sleep in, get 8-9+ hours sleep, I am good to go, but 3 days a week I work 12 hour shifts and if I train on those days, I def need one or I would be dead tired.

Like others have said, pre-workouts are not necessary, but can prove to be useful if you're feeling rundown or tired. I always use cryoshock to boost me after a hard day of work + school

I suppose that only replaces the coffee. But the caffeine is still less expensive than coffee. And more convenient. But then I don't like or drink coffee so I may not 'get it'
