Just followed one of the recipes for protein powder pudding on bb.com (mixed no-fat milk with jello (chocolate) and protein powder. It is very good. But wondering when you girls eat this stuff.....as a snack or post-workout?

- Protein powder (my brand BSN Syth-6 Chocolate shake)
- Jello instant pudding powder (fat free)
- Fat Free milk
I cannot tell you the amounts that I used as it was the first time I made it after seeing the recipe her on bb.com. However, I used about 1 1/2 scoops of my protein powder.
Do not cook it....just mix it and put in fridge it gets the consistency of pudding after a few minutes (mine was a bit watery due to the amount of milk)
I also read in the recipe section that people make protein ice cream using some sort of chocolate mix (no fat) with protein powder milk. Saw it in the women's recipe section if you are interested.

I actually tried making that a few days ago. I had resisted the urge because the Jello fat free, sugar free pudding mix has all kinds of weird chemicals and processed junk in it and I figured I could live without it, but I finally gave in. I can't help it, I love pudding. Anyway, I used 3 scoops of protein powder and made 3 little serving cups of pudding, but I guess I used too much protein powder because they didn't solidify. So I just chopped up bananas and drank them as a post workout snack. They were soupy, but still very tasty and MUCH better than a plain whey and banana shake.

I have to try the banana with the protein like you did..thanks for the idea! Any type of protein I have tried always has that weird aftertaste...so I try to come up with things to get rid of it.

Here is another tasty recipe for protein pudding without the jello pudding mix...
1/2 cup of protein powder (I use 100%whey banana flavor)
1/3 cup almond milk
12 oz. extra firm tofu (this does not have flavor it just "molds it together.")
1 tsp vanilla
Directions: Blend all ingredients until smooth (5minutes). Chill 1-2 hours before serving. Serves 4. I have not figured out why, but this will go bad (sour taste to it) within 3 days so eat it up!

Here is how I've been making mine and it comes out thick and yummy:
1 packet sugar free/ fat free pudding
1 cup whipped cottage cheese
2 scoops protein powder (been using Syntha Six)
Enough liquid (water and unsweetened almond milk) til creamy - I don't measure, just add to taste/thickness desire.
A few times I've added a tablespoon of peanut butter (depending on the flavor or pudding). I've been having this as a mini afternoon snack when I want something sweet. I'll stick a little container in the freezer for about 30-45 min prior and it's very yummy!! It's the only way I've managed to eat cottage cheese and I satisfy that sweet tooth at the same time.
