Sometimes I like to increase the grams I take of something. Would the scoops in these tubs of protein powders, etc be the grams indicated on the serving size?
Or would the serving sizes be heaping scoops?
Of example, I'd like to save a scooper that says 27g and just write 27g with a sharpie on it, is this accurate?

Can it be assumed that each scoop in a supps tub is the grams per serving?

i know some supplements will say 1 scoop and others will say 1 heaping scoop. on that note, each scoop that comes with supplements is a measure of volume, not weight. the volume is such that it will give the correct weight (grams) of the supplement it is included with. technically, some supplements will be heavier than others, and thus the scoop will not give you the same weight/serving size for multiple supplements. sometimes you will get lucky though and the supplements will weigh the same and you will be fine.

Get a scale! /thread
Seriously, get a scale.
A myofusion scoop tends to only have 30g, not the 36g in a serving. Muscle Milk tends to have 27-30g per scoop, not 35g. Many pre's are off by as much as 50%! The first tub of shotgun I got a scoop was 11g, not the 21.4g or some such a serving was supposed to be.
If you aren't ever using a scale then your measurements are almost always off by at least 10% and in many cases 20-30% or more.Latest Reviews:

There are only about 4 different scooper sizes that you will see with the most common being the 70cc size. Its safe to say you can use the same scooper for most of the protein powders as even same brand but different flavors aren't really accurate in terms of weight. Take the Proto-Lyn fiasco a few weeks back... The cookies N cream will probably weight differently than another flavor but the same scooper is sent with them. The only company that I have seen that actually sent a different scooper to be accurate was Betancourt with the Big Blend. They actually have a larger scoop size for the white chocolate because volume wise it needed a larger scoop for the same profile.
Moral of the story unless you are freakishly picky about 1-2 grams you will be fine using the same scooper most of the time. Other wise like you mentioned.... Get a scaleSuch much Placebo in here.
