Has anyone got an detailed instructional videos on how to perform a snatch?
I've watched the ones in the stickies, I'm afraid I still can't get it.

Pendlay has some of the best videos on teaching the lifts. IMO a few things could have been a tad more detailed though they are still great to learn from.Originally Posted by c00lrabbit

Honestly I wouldnt look to Ripptoe for guidance on the Olympic lifts. The way hes teaching puts way too much emphasis on upward movement on the bar, uses too little legs and way too much back, the lifter hops forward throughout the video, making for a very inefficient power snatch.Originally Posted by drjjg

Rippetoe does a very good job explaining the physics of a lift, but he does a poor job explaining how to actually do the lift. Learn with Pendlay's video and then you can come back and watch Rippetoe's video when you're trying to fix the little details.

I agree, Rip is great when it comes to training for strength, but many coaches I have met don't like his style for training the lifts. Go to Glenn's site, californiastrength.com and watch the instructional videos.Originally Posted by SquatsAndOats
