I can't believe this chit.. chicken chit!
http://www.myfoxny.com/dpp/news/loca...ttack-20101014NY.COM - Just after seven o'clock Thursday morning, Katherine O'Connor and her boyfriend were walking home from a McDonald's in Garwood, New Jersey, when she suffered an asthma attack.
"It has been happening every day for the past four or five days," she said.
Her inhaler was at home. The couple was near there, but a CVS on North Avenue, near Cedar Street, was closer. They went in and found the pharmacist on duty.
"I had exactly a twenty-dollar bill. It came to twenty-one and change," Jack Brown said. "I offered him my cell phone, my wallet. I said i live right around the corner. I come in here all the time."
He was told the inhaler with tax would cost just over $21. He was short a dollar and change.
"I said 'Can you just give her the pump. She's on the floor wheezing," Jack said. "I didn't know if an ambulance would get there on time. He said there was nothing he could do for me."
"He said there's nothing I can do. I was just blown away," Katherine said.
When the couple left the store empty-handed, they didn't know what to do, they told Fox 5. Remember, Katherine was still having an asthma attack. Jack remembered he has a friend who is a paramedic.
"He did have an inhaler. She used two pumps, waited a little while," Jack said. "She started to come through a little quicker than if she didn't have it."
Fox 5 went into the store looking for answers, asking about what happened. A store manager said: "no comment."
CVS corporate offices sent Fox 5 a statement: "The well-being of our customers is our highest priority and we are looking into this matter."

something similar happened to me...
there was a family fight at the house and i got an asthma attack trying to keep things under control (i hadn't had one for 5+ years before that). i scrambled to my room only to find an empty paper bag where my inhaler used to be. apparently my sister who lives like 40 min away from me took it, because she "thought" she had an asthma attack one day. basically ended up being driven to a rite aid mid-asthma attack and bought an inhaler that (did NOT have a mouth attachment) they sold me an inhaler (refill) and did not have a mouth piece. i was dying and they basically told me i was screwed and asked me if i wanted a return. im sure they probably had something in the back or something (seeing as they were a ****ing pharmacy but they didn't really give a ****.
i just ran out of the place and my dad drove me to a cvs like 5 miles away where i got a working inhaler. i was nearly passed out by that time too cause of the lack of oxygen.

something tells me this story is sensationalist
i doubt the pharmacist wouldn't give them an ihaler if she was on the floor not able to breathe.
and what they didnt have a credit card?"If, therefore, any be unhappy, let him remember that he is unhappy by reason of himself alone"
"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."

Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy. Hide me from the secret counsel of evildoers, From the tumult of those who do iniquity, Who have sharpened their tongue like a sword. They aimed bitter speech as their arrow, To shoot from.
