How long does it take for Creatine to show effects?

I've been taking Creatine for the past 2 days, and I realize the effects won't be instantaneous, but I'm just wondering, on average how long it takes before you can see some visual changes.
** I know it will take longer than a couple days, I just want to know if I should continue it the way I am, or change my intake amount.**

Visual? it just a pre workout supplement. For me i mixed it with some green tea before the gym and and i get a tingling feeling for about 20-40 mins. takes about 10 mins to kick in for me. maybe its something else but that how i feel when i take the Creatine. i used a whole container in a month and i look pretty toned compared to my current pic.

Creatine is not a supp your gonna see huge changes visually. You'll pack on like 2-4lbs of water weight. After your muscles are saturated with it, around 1-2 weeks, you could see a small increase in strength. That's it's main purpose, to hydrate muscles and free up some ATP for use during a lift

Creatine is not a pre wrokout supplement. At all. It doesn't "kick-in" after 10 mins. It has no acute effects.

give it 2-3 weeks before it kicks in, creatine is mostly for more energy, endurance and strength. it's nothing like dat der cell-tech so don't get your hopes up if the results you get from creatine are not good.

    That's a preworkout.

Acute effects are from stimulants, vasodilator and beta-alanine

Don't think of creatine as a supplement for size, think of it as a tool that will help you get more size. Sort of like cleaning a gun. It doesn't make the gun fire, but it helps it makes it easier for the gun to fire by providing a good environment. The creatine can help you in your lifts, and everyone knows more weight=more size, so its were you up for success. Op, with a good routine and proper diet, creatine will definitely provide you with a good opportunity for gains. Hope I helped.

indirectly it does. And a little bit directly maybe, mostly by increasing water transport into muscle tissue. And this does not mean "fake muscles", muscle tissue is 80% water . . .

[QUOTE=charles211;921204923]Visual? it just a pre workout supplement.
Its actually not recommended for before a workout. Its meant for after, and its not meant to be a preworkout. Maybe your preworkout HAS creatine, but the purpose of the creatine in the mix wont be for energy. Its just so you dont have to buy a separate supplement.

    Post Creatine

i bought the body tech 100% creatine monohydrate, (im sure y'all know what i'm talking about, it's in a blue tall bottle) but anyway i have a question for anyone who might know, i've took it for about 3 days now it taste straight up like water. and i'm putting a teaspoon of it as it says to do so. is it supposed to just taste like water? ik it's unflavored but i thought it would a nasty favor lol. and another question. when i do drink it i don't need to chug it do i? i need to drink like in sips? and is it good to go straight to bed after i drink it??.. sorry that like 3 questions in one.

Fine to take it with water, creatine mono is pretty much tasteless. You do not need to chug it, no. You are fine to drink it before bed, or whenever you like, it doesn't matter.

As for noticing the effects, likely never, it might help you get an extra rep or 2 in which in the long run helps progressive overload, but that's about all it will do. Creatine is proven to work, but it just is not a huge impact.

Also, obligatory- Do not take supplements if under 18.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
    1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

From my experience, creatine shows its effects in a week or two.
Drink tons of water, do a few sets of higher weight reps for pump.
Train extra for pump while on creatine.

I don't know if it is scientifically proven, but from my own experience: Creatine works best with sarcoplasmic hypertrophy type of training.
So you're on the internet for good advice, here's some good advice: have a good laugh once in a while. And never tear your bicep!
