    How much creatine do you take?

    I know the recommended dose is 5 grams daily, even on rest days.
    I weighed it out with a scale, and 5 grams is actually a small mountain. I have always only done about 2-3g the past couple of years because i'd do a level teaspoon.

    Stupidly I thought the 5g jack3d scooper was equal to 5g creatine mono. WRONG... its only about 1-2g creatine mono.
    Now I just need to find a scooper that fits 5g creatine (perhaps my intrabolic or Xtend scoopers)

    Drinking it with juice (off days) or with my post-workout protein shake.

    I'm pretty good at eyeballing 3.5g, so I can guesstimate what 5g looks like.

    Right now, I just take a level scoop of SizeOn Max Perf. Of course I have no idea how much creatine is in it exactly because of their silly ass prop blends.

    5g in the morning and 5g post workout, but I'm not an ab whore. I just like being big and strong. If you're going for 90's small, maybe 3-5g to avoid retaining water?

    You should take it alone and wait a bit before taking your protein shake.

    Ok thanks. i think its best when I take it during my workout. .. in the past i would always take pre-workout

    So I guess it depends on how much water weight you want..
    I should probably stick to 3.5 grams ... When I was 183lb, bloated on creatine, my face was puffy = no fun.

    Sounds carb / sodium related... were you taking the creatine with carbs / gatorade / etc.. ?

    Yes with gatorade or just some grape juice...

    So is it best to take it with just some light sugar juice like grape juice, then wait 20-30 mins for it to digest before eating?

    What's the HIGHEST QUALITY creatine on the market? I mean, wouldnt the differences compared to my cheap creatine mono be almost nonexistant?

    edit: article says creatine mono works just fine, even though it takes longer to absorb.

    MCC works well. I hear good things about Creapure but never used it. Always stuck to tried annd true Mono and MCC.

    It works fine on it's own especially pre / post workout, no insulin spike needed

    The carb / electrolyte beverages became popular because they too "work" separately... enhancing strength, recovery, and sparing muscle

    But too much sodium / electrolyte imbalance, and you'll have some temporary bloat
