I know the recommended dose is 5 grams daily, even on rest days.
I weighed it out with a scale, and 5 grams is actually a small mountain. I have always only done about 2-3g the past couple of years because i'd do a level teaspoon.
Stupidly I thought the 5g jack3d scooper was equal to 5g creatine mono. WRONG... its only about 1-2g creatine mono.
Now I just need to find a scooper that fits 5g creatine (perhaps my intrabolic or Xtend scoopers)
Drinking it with juice (off days) or with my post-workout protein shake.

Ok thanks. i think its best when I take it during my workout. .. in the past i would always take pre-workout
So I guess it depends on how much water weight you want..

It works fine on it's own especially pre / post workout, no insulin spike needed
The carb / electrolyte beverages became popular because they too "work" separately... enhancing strength, recovery, and sparing muscle
But too much sodium / electrolyte imbalance, and you'll have some temporary bloatFree agent
