    Just flys for chest

I'm wondering if anyone here doesn't do any presses for chest, just flys. Will your chest be weak? How would it look?

I myself have a bottom heavy chest. And recovering from tendonitis. So all I've been doin are flys. Chest still gets sore all over. And I think I might JUST do flys from now on...unless I start caring about strength alot

I've found that doing flys before presses works great for me. I've never done just flys before though.

My chest is thick. But I kinda don't like it. I'm guessing I'll loose some strength if I do just flys. But atleast it'll shape it up and make it look better...right?

Man you have a genetically weirdly shaped chest...

That aside, for building the most mass possible you are going to have to press. Your presses will definitely get weaker if you neglect them. Flyes do stimulate the pecs, so I wouldn't be surprised if you saw some gains, but you won't see the most optimal gains possible.

wheres the tendinitis? ive got it right now in my shoulders bicep tendon. i was planning on bulking but i dont know if thats gonna happens.

anyway i got a guy telling me to something like 5 X 5,4,3,3,3 on bench but putting a two inch board on my chest so i never touch. should build about the same muscle and keep my shoulders from stretching too much. also the docs said not to do flys (maybe they thought i meant with dumbbells) but the guy i talked to said cable flys are fine. btw, hes a retired army powerlifter, as in he lifted for the army. so i kinda trust him more then the doc and physical therapist who dont look like they even lift. lol

i got elbow tendonitis, its been 2 months. and its kinda going away now. But presses do get your chest THICK, and I dont want my chest any thicker...so I think imma just stick to flys, if i do any presses, itll be incline or reverse grip.
