    Adding Olive Oil To Whey Protein Shake ???

    Is this okay to do from a science point of view?

    it wont hinder the effect of the whey protein in anyway?

    it might slow absorbtion slightly. I wouldnt worry. Id worry more about it giving it a horrible oily texture. Id use Peanut Butter instead.

    Y don't you use olive oil to whey mixed with water and make a protein brownie! Microwave for about 2 minutes and let it cool. It's pretty yummy

    I occasionally put a tablespoon of olive oil in a shake. Most of the time I'll use almonds.

    It slows down the absorption of protein, so may not be ideal for post workout.

    ^ This. As for the olive oil for one scoop of whey I used about 7 grams. When my bf does 2 scoops he puts like 10 grams. You can kinda eyeball it

    A tablespoon maybe a might much. I only used a little more than a teaspoon. Try maybe using 2 teaspoons or try 2 scoops of whey with 1 tablespoon. Oh and if you use peanut oil instead of olive oil it tastes better.

    I wouldn't add it in your post workout shake, you should have a timer set from the last rep of the last set you do, until the time it takes you to start drinking your post workout shake. Adding fat will only slow the absorption of the super, duper insulin spiking whey and glucose.

    I've heard gainz can be totally lost if you don't adhere to both the timing and no fat in said shake. Be careful.

    yes it was VERY rubbery, i couldnt think of the proper word to describe it. i only used like 3 or 4 oz of water tho with 2 scoops of whey and added between 1.5 and 2 tsp of EVOO.

    blah gonna go do my cardio then try again i suppose. any stricter suggestions on the ratios?

    The point isn't to add it to a post workout shake but rather to add it to whey to create a protein/fat meal replacement shake.

    Personally I add extra light olive oil to all of my shakes (except post workout) to increase caloric impact.

    Zero taste effect and very minimal textural change even up to like 1/2 cup of olive oil.

    I wouldnt want to make my blender or cup all gooey and hard to clean from the olive oil. Ive used olive oil as a mouth rinse. It's not that hard to drink on it's own.

    I've used ON Whey and now I have Scivation which works awesome too. I've made pancakes but not with whey, just with cc, oats, and egg beaters.

    Agreed, olive oil taste so good it can be eaten straight up. I use to have 3 tbsp straight up a day. I am also doing the Rocky style 3 whole eggs a day straight up in a cup. If u eat oatmeal u don't have to worry about the cholesterol and I also walk alot.

    I lost 5lbs from eating salad instead of fries at burger king.
