i've just started taking whey protein and was thinking of taking 2 protein shakes a day, will it be too much for a beginner? and also can someone tell me the best time to take the shake for max results...?!?!

Not really, but you probably don't really need to have that many. While bulking, you should just shoot for 1-1.2x your bw in protein to be most beneficial, so it seems like just one a day would work because along with the shakes, I'm sure you'll have at least one other protein source whether it's chicken, meat, fish, etc. Then of course you'll get some more protein from your carb sources.

im cutting and my house is full of sugary carbs and junk food, so i just have 1 meal on offdays
2 meals on workout days i get that extra meal from subway
so im feeding on protein shakes i get like 4-5 a day..
also i have ON's vanilla icecream which tastes like CRAP!! so i wanna finish the tub as fast as possible.
to OP : protein is protein, just like the ones in ur meat...so will u die from eating meat 2 times a day? and best times are when u wake up, and after workout.
