How much water too drink per day?

    Quick question..

Read alot that I should be drinking between 1 gallon, too 1.5 gallons water a day. But is that US gallons or UK gallons.. Turns out a US gallon is 3.7 litres, whereas a UK gallon is 4.5 litres..

i drink a gallon a day... i read you should drink .6 x bodyweight = ounces of water..

128ounces in a gallon... i weigh 160 x .6 = 96 ounces so i just drink a gallon a day, i feel way better i can consume protein when i used to **** it all out... good luck.

I'd say try and get at least 1 US gallon. Say for example you sweat more than usual that day or whatever, then maybe ramp it up a bit. I personally drink 2 but I'm starting to get really sick of how often I have to piss.

I shoot for about .8-.9 oz of water /lb of body weight. soooo just over a US gallon

Just dont listen to the 8 glasses of water...thats BS, comes out to 64 oz. Its scientifically unfounded aka myth/wives tale.

Unlike telling people to drink over a gallon of water a day amirite? Do enlighten me, what's the scientifically founded reason you drink a gallon of water a day?

There is no reason to do this to your kidneys. Drink when you're thirsty to keep hydrated and that's it. You get a lot of water from your food anyway.

Generally Im good on about 4 litres a day (just under a gallon).

If Im cutting or preparing for something I'll drink about 7 litres (1.5 gallons).

Cannot handle anymore than that. Tried, but I started getting headaches and feeling weird. Also was pissing every 5 f'ing minutes lol

Drink when you're thirsty and stay hydrated especially during workouts. If you are taking creatine or certain other supplements it is advisable to increase water intake to make sure you stay hydrated.
