Okay so i have the question..... after working out. wait 30 minutes drink protein then can i eat right after the shake or should i wait a wee bit?... What would be the best option to gain weight/ muscle mass?

I know that's what you meant, but still, there is no 30 minute window at all. I can assure you that nutrient uptake is good for more than a few hours after a workout. And also, with proper pre-workout nutrition he definitely has plenty of time to get a meal in. No unsatisfying dextrose shakes needed.
