what to do after a 5x5

im currently in week 8 of 5x5 workout, everything is going well... just put up 225 x 5 bench the other day struggling on the last rep.... 350 squat no problem (lowered weight to focus on going lower).... the only real problem im having is incline bench (185 x 5), but im slowly working on it

my question is, after i complete the 5x5, would you recommend doing another round? or switching to HST?

    thanks for advice

It really depends on your goals. Go ahead and switch it up if you want to try something else. I don't have much experience with HST because I'm not a bodybuilder but I'm sure someone else can help you more specificaly with that. I would suggest you find a good linear progression workout to make the transition.

Jim Wendler's 5-3-1 program can be great just to offer a suggestion. It will help you ease out of the 5x5 program. You will get a lot stronger, and if you use the right programming, you will get a lot bigger.

If you're doing the Bill Starr / Madcow 5x5, then there is no such thing as a 'round'. You use the program until it stops working.

i am doing the mad cow 5x5...

so your saying just keep going until im not able to increase weight anymore? then i switch it up?

so lets say i get to week 9 and have no issues, i take a week rest... then start again at week 10 and go until i stall? ... or could i go to the advanced mad cow 5x5??

i guess my goals would be to look bigger... ive heard GST / HST does this?
