    Looking for something new

Hey ladies, I've been lifting for a few years now.

I have been doing the following split for a LONG time:
    -Back, biceps, rear delts
    -quads, calves
    -chest, shoulders, triceps
    -glutes, hamstrings
I throw in abs and running in there randomly as well.

I'm happy with my progress but I feel like my lower body lags a little bit behind my upper body. Not only that, but I'm bored with my routine at this point. I would like something that focuses on my lower body, I feel like I know enough to put my own routine together but every time i try, i feel like i'm then not doing enough upper body lol... i still want to be balanced, so i'm struggling to come up with something new.

So I was wondering if you guys think strong curves would be a good routine for me. The only thing is that i thought it was catered towards beginners, so i wasn't sure if it was right for me or not.

Totally open to other suggestions as well.

    Thanks!

Ummm I'm not a lady last time I checked but hey might be able to offer some small insight.

Strong curves does have a progression scale if you are interested in follow Bret Contreras program.

So you could do one of the more advanced programs such as gluteal goddess

    https://bretcontreras.com/gluteal-goddess-workout/
    https://liftvault.com/programs/stren...m-spreadsheet/

Likewise there is many other training programs which may be of interest to you. What are your major lifts like?

    Here are a few:-

    https://atlargenutrition.com/baby-got-back-routine/
https://stronglifts.com/smolov/#Expe...ns_with_Smolov - if you hate yourself.

Strong Curves is a great program and there is an advanced program as mentioned above "Gluteal Goddess".. basically follows a template and you would start off with what you are able to lift at the rep scheme provided. Bret Contreras also has a monthly subscription program "Booty by Bret" if you are interested in something more advanced. I've run SC and similar glute focused programming for my 3 bulk cycles and had great results for the lower body.

However many women find SC to be a bit lacking in the upper department because it is so focused on the lower. You can always add an extra upper exercise at the end of each day or add an extra upper day. Up to you of course, since adherence is going to be important... if you are doing a program you don't enjoy you probably won't stick to it very long!

Thanks guys this was super helpful... i'm going to look into these. Yeah I think i could throw in some of my own upper body exercises if I feel like it's necessary. I'm excited for something new i think this would be a good choice.

    thanks again!
